N. Korea's Rodong Sinmun "U.S. Mainland in Crisis of Life and Death; Wave your White Flag"

Kwon Soon-wan

2017.08.03 11:34

On Aug. 3, N. Korean media threatened U.S., saying, “Every minute and every second, the new reality that U.S. mainland is on the knife's edge of life and death is forcing U.S. administration to wave a white flag and fundamentally change her N. Korea policy.”

Rodong Sinmun, the ruling party's newspaper, carried an individual column titled "Heed the Warning of Juche Korea." The column claimed, "It is not the denuclearization of N. Korea but the security of U.S. mainland which should be the top priority of Trump Administration."

It said, "If U.S. still refuses to accept such a realistic demand and doggedly pursue hostile policy against N. Korea in order to save face, she will receive unexpected 'gift packages' which we will continue to send."

N. Korea is trying to make it a reality that she can strike U.S. mainland after the second test launch of 'Hwasung-14' ICBM-level missile on July 28.

N. Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, an organization affiliated with the ruling party, issued an announcement via its spokesman, "Instead of making correct judgment and responsible choice, U.S. has not come to her senses and is still running wild. U.S. has to choose between 'the reversal of her N. Korea policy' and 'her demise.'"

Rodong Sinmun's column on the same day said, "There is no more means U.S. can use to pressure us."

"It is not the denuclearization of N. Korea but the security of U.S. mainland which should be the top priority of Trump Administration."

Um... aren't these inextricably linked?

What I cannot figure out is what is the crazy dictator's end goal? Did this all start as posturing to try to manipulate us into giving foreign aid? Surely, Kim Jong Eun must be aware that he cannot hope to gain anything should he start lobbing nuclear missiles all over the place.

P.S. We are all forever indebted to Bill Clinton for giving North Korea the green light to proceed with nuclear weapons development. The question is, what was Bill thinking when he did that?

(1) Become a fully nuclear armed state
(2) This allows NK to threaten all U.S. installations and allies in E. Asia and U.S. mainland.
(3) Drive U.S. out of S. Korea.
(4) With U.S. gone, NK escalates local conflict with S. Korea. Since NK has nukes, SK cannot really fight back.
(5) SK will be intimidated enough to be a hostage nation to NK.
(6) Gradually NK forces SK to form a Korea Confederation where NK has upper hands.
(7) Ultimately NK wants to take over SK.

Nukes will also deter any outside intervention during this process.

While this is in progress, NK will sign a peace treaty with U.S. and establish full diplomatic relationship.(which Clinton wanted to do but couldn’t.)
In return for being nice, NK would want to get a lot of economic aids.

Kim Jong-un and N. Korea defeats the most powerful nation in the world, unify Korean Peninsula and extort tens of billions of dollars from U.S. and other countries.

Kim family becomes the undisputed ruler of Korea with unchallenged legitimacy.

"...what is the crazy dictator's end goal?"

You have to think like Kim to come up with an answer to that one. I believe it is difficult for people like ourselves to think like a paranoid psychopath. A team of psychiatrists might be able to answer this question.

"...what was Bill thinking when he did that?"

What were people thinking when they voted for Clinton? You voted for him, didn't you?

No.

When the Democrat party nominated Bill Clinton, I was horrified. That was the final piece of evidence that convinced me never to support the Democrats again.

When I visited South Korea last year, the few Koreans I met who expressed an opinion wanted N. Korea to “bring it on.”

North Korea is a China surrogate to increase Chinese hegemony.

The solution is time and death of old men or war and the death of old men

There are S. Koreans who want to see it taken care of now than later because time is on N. Korea's side if the current situation continues. They are usually old folks. Many young ones are clueless or brainwashed.
