I love the White House, one of the most beautiful buildings (homes) I have ever seen. But Fake News said I called it a dump - TOTALLY UNTRUE
We knew it was a lie, Mr. President. We don’t believe anything the media tells us.
If the Commie news said the sun will rise tomorrow I would have to go outside tomorrow morning to confirm it. The media, AKA Democrats, are ALL LIARS its what they do and always will do because they are Democrats

Even people here on FR, who have toured the White House, have said that it is worn, smells ‘old’, and is in need of repair.
From the outside, when you drive by, it looks like a ‘tiny jewel box’ of architecture - it’s especially beautiful at night.
But it’s a darn old building!
Mr. President the majority of the enemedia and Democrats are liars, birds of a feather.
It’s got a lot of history to tell, that’s mighty sure.
Considering who was in it for the previous eight years, I wouldn’t blame Trump for calling it a ‘dump.’
The White House was completely rebuilt in the Truman years.
Only the shell of the building is original.
All else was replaced—floors/walls/stariways,etc.
It was a complete gut job.
So the White House is really less than 70 years old.
They probably haven't gotten the "choom" smell out, yet.
I can believe that Obama treated it like a dump.

Ditto. That line doesn’t even SOUND like Trump. It sounds like what some mentally underdeveloped leftist thinks Trump WOULD have said.
It’s absolutely beautiful. I can still remember touring it first when I was only about 5 years old.
There’s a quote from John Adams on the fireplace in the State Dining Room:
“I pray Heaven to bestow the best of Blessings on this House and on all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise Men ever rule under this roof.”
(It seems to me that Mr. and Mrs. Trump have about 7-1/2 years in which to do a ‘Jackie Kennedy’ on the old place...?)
It kind of looked that way during the last occupancy.
On the outside. The inside has been completely redone done to the foundation and structure. The first time by President Truman.
It would s an old building. Last time it was refurbished/updated was during John F. Kennedy’s Presidency, right? That was a long time ago. Probably like living in a museum.
It’s a dump compared to his home in Trump Tower, NYC.
And Air Force One is a crate compared to his 757.
Maybe he should just conduct business from his NYC home?
Or create a beautiful home for his family in the old post office that he renovated, it’s just down the street.
But the decor and furnishings were dismal when the Kennedys arrived. Jacqueline did an enormous job of gaining donations of money, antiques, etc., to get it all up to what it should be; and that was 50-odd years ago.
