Nice try, and it’s a shame, but this legislation hasn’t a chance with our elected Internationalists in congress.

Yes, the answer to my prayers.
I think this could get through the House. It would be worthwhile to give up some things on other subject matters (taxes, whatever) that would otherwise cause heartburn in order to get it though the Senate. It’s that important.
We are currently taking 1 million per year. With a population of 324 million and 94 million out of work we don’t need one more immigrant.
You watch. This is going to turn into another back door measure to increase H-1b visa quotas. Thus the continued pitting of the USA’s homegrown best and brightest against a flood of 3rd worlders to lower salaries across the board. Globalism sucks.
Immigration in no way helps the average worker in the USA. More workers equals lower salaries and more tax burden. It is just the law of supply and demand.
This will get virtually no Demonrat support. To them immigration reform is to legalize all illegals here and liberalize entry of new immigrants, both in numbers and qualifications. Oh, I almost forgot, don’t build a border wall.

Massive numbers came here in the early 20th. Century, but they became Americans in less than a generation.
WHY DO WE NEED ONE MORE IMMIGRANT coming to a nation that is trying to offshore every job possible, from factory to IT department.
Article says we are issuing 1 million Green Cards per year.
Many times more than that are actually coming into the country on various visas.
1 million per year is too much. Green Card is permanent residency. We can’t possibly vet a million people each year for how well they’ve assimilated and whether they adhere to our values.
