In powering his home, Al Gore still greatly outpaces most Americans in energy consumption. The findings were shocking:
The past year, Gore's home energy use averaged 19,241 kilowatt hours (kWh) every month, compared to the U.S. household average of 901 kWh per month.
Gore guzzles more electricity in one year than the average American family uses in 21 years.
In September of 2016, Gore's home consumed 30,993 kWh in just one month as much energy as a typical American family burns in 34 months.
During the last 12 months, Gore devoured 66,159 kWh of electricity just heating his pool. That is enough energy to power six average U.S. households for a year.
From August 2016 through July 2017, Gore spent almost $22,000 on electricity bills
Gore paid an estimated $60,000 to install 33 solar panels. Those solar panels produce an average of 1,092 kWh per month, only 5.7% of Gore's typical monthly energy consumption.
No matter how the numbers are viewed, Al Gore uses vastly more electricity at his home than the average American a particularly inconvenient truth given his hypocritical calls for all Americans to reduce their home energy use.
The Data
All information included in this report was acquired through open records requests and phone calls to NES, the public electric utility for the Gore property and much of the Nashville area.
The records supplied by NES provide thorough information about Gore's home energy consumption including kWh consumed, the amount of energy produced by solar panels on the property, money donated to the Green Power Switch program and the billing charges associated with the property's electricity usage.

Easily figured out. $2k per month
Our power bill is between $55 and $70 per month. The electric company called us to offer a plan to reduce our usage. When they asked us what our bill was and I told them, they said never mind and hung up.
Gore: “Free stuff for me but not for thee”
I thought he lived in the spread he bought in CA years ago... Who lives in the house in TN? Maybe Tipper?
HOME? Al Gore owns MANY HOMES.
More than Michael Moore...
More than most of the blow hard liberal elites ....
The power Gore uses to run the pool pumps at his many mansions AND ONLY THE POOL PUMPS - uses more energy than the average American home with a husband, wife, and two kids...
What does he need all that power ?
Yep. Those are the stats on Algore’s Nashville mansion. No mention of his beachfront mansion.
This is just his Nashville home. Gore also has a $9 million mansion on the California coast. Ironically if his predictions about rising sea levels are correct his coastal mansion would be flooded. Gore also flies to his global warming harangues in private jets and demands limos for ground transport. Gore is not only a charlatan, but a huge hypocrite.
Algore and his acolytes want you to live like the Flintstones, while they live like the Jetsons.
#17 You have it figured out.
Al Gore is a pothead!
btt
When Al Gore finally keels over we should use him to heat Minnesota. God knows he’s full of enough hot air to do it.
But he buys “carbon offsets”/s/
This story should lead every mainstream media broadcast.
Calling the Left hypocrites never works. Insult them with their own moral indignation words.
Try this: Call him what he is - an energy-wasting pig. Even if you’re a free-marketer, find a way to agree with the insult you use (such as, from the fact that that huge expense should be spent on charity, or the fact that his increased demand raises the price on the poor), but do it.
The Left only listens to versions of their own moral outrage, no one else’s.
I'm just guessing again but there must be some maintenance involved, probably exceeding his $627 in Free Electricity.
That $60k is gone down the toilet and will never be recouped. Liberals are practicing what they preach financially. Bankrupt everyone for no real reason at all. It's all so, so wrong.
Doesn’t Gore have like six or seven mansions? A few more than Michael Moore and Mitt Romney? Or out of shame has Gore sold a few off?
