And no one can stop them or rein them in. They can keep this fishing expedition and persecution of the President, his Administration, Trump's business partners, and his family going as long as they like.
Well, there is someone who "could" rein them in. But to paraphrase Gus McCrae from Lonesome Dove, Sessions is "too leaky a vessel to put much hope into."

What is the rationale for this?
Obviously, the investigation into the Trump/Russia collusion claim turned up nothing. (Not that we ever expected it would, since the entire “collusion” story was a fabrication of the Hillary campaign.) So now, Mueller is digging farther and farther into Trump’s past to try to find—what, exactly?
It is time to stop this charade.
Better yet, it is time to fire Mueller and hire someone to investigate the real collusions. Hillary already profited greatly from selling 1/5 of our uranium supply to Russia—which is both an economic and a national security issue. Where is the investigation into that? Or into any of the shady dealings of not just Hillary, but a significant number of Democrats?
A proper investigative team would have been appointed with a specific scope for the investigation. The fact that this was not done with Mueller shows that those appointing him knew there was nothing to the collusion fiction from the get-go, and that they appointed Mueller for no other reason than to lead a witch hunt.

The Senate needs to call this numbnuts in to explain what evidence he has to continue this charade. Make him show them the crimes that were committed and if he can’t then demand that he suspend his investigation.

It seems as if Mueller is baiting Trump to fire him.
So this morning, watching ABC/MSNBC/CNN only because it is what the commie gym manager has on, they are touting, “Trump’s history of trashing the GOP”...and some loser (R) Congressman, “Dent”, I think his name was...doesn’t matter who, just some loser anti-Trump goober who should be caned.
After watching this, I have a theory. I believe the R’s really want to be in the minority - and notice in the majority, they act the part anyway. Some time between now and November 2018, several R’s will somehow retire for “more time with their family”...Soros will have paid them off enough to make it worth it...losers (metaphorically and literally) will step in to run against a “D”. They will lose just like McCain purposely did in 2008. Or, some will just not drop out and lose like that anyway.
Then, with Mueller and the MSM, and the newly minted “D” majority, they’ll try to complete the coup with impeachment.
Just my theory. I’m not crazy and I don’t think this is too far-fetched. Soros has enough $ to make them believe it worth it - and their seemingly Sith-based-dark-side hate for Trump is that deep.

The office of the presidency has been targeted for destruction. We are fast losing (to a completely lawless coup d'etat) the checks and balances provided by the three original branches of government. The 65 million votes which duly elected this president are about to be annulled. That is an incredibly enormous criminal act.
Aided by the country's balkanization, and an irresponsible educational system which has produced millions of illiterate and ignorant citizens whose only goal in life is entitlement, Democrats and Republicans alike are completely responsible for this, along with Soros, the Clintons, Obama, and the U.S.corporate-ocracy. Yes they are in on it, too.
I don't know what kind of retribution will emerge, or who'll have the wherewithal to carry it out. But there will be payback in one form or another. Historically, coups of this magnitude have not gone unanswered. If I were a Trump-hater of any kind today, I would be very, very afraid of what the future might hold for me. On a metaphysical level alone, these people have no idea what kind of powers they might be meddling with.
