GOP Sen. John McCain issued a statement Monday saying that he will produce a military strategy for Afghanistan in September, if President Donald Trump has no plan to offer.
While McCain hasn’t yet proposed a solution, his statement indicates his intent to develop a legislative alternative in the absence of an actual plan from the Trump administration regarding U.S. interests in Afghanistan.

No way. McCain is part of the globalists cabal that attempted regime change in Syria which rewarded us with a dysfunctional Syria, rise of ISIS and large Russian military presence in Syria.
Russia and Pakistan are working already to replace the U.S. influence in Pakistan and are likely to work against any major U.S. military effort to rescue Afghanistan from their growing roles.
McCain does not know or understand the culture of Afghanistan. Loyalty of any military person is fleeting, contextual and subject to change under pressure. Afghans booted from the Afghan government forces for any reason easily switch sides to the Taliban and others like them.
The society is sick. 1. If an Afghan Muslim converts from Islam it is an “apostasy” offense for which they can be executed, because Afghan courts defer to “Sharia law” on that issue, in spite of the Afghan Constitution committing Afghan law to respect freedom of religion. 2. Among Afghan mature men it is common to have a “boy toy” - a young man/boy who is really a sex slave. Some young men stay in that relationship for money and a “better standard of living”. Some are forced to and some are given drugs all the time. That young boy will grow up to marry, have children and become a “master” to a young boy sex slave of his own. It is considered illegal, yet is so common that such men are not disciplined or removed from Afghan forces because the Afghan government knows there is many of them and they will join those fighting against the government.
Does the Afghan society, on the whole, deserve our help, even with the many innocent and good people living within the restraints and “norms” of that society? I think McCain has the wrong answer to that.
A disabled Afghanistan is desired by all its major neighbors, as a means for them trying to spread their influence within it. They will work to keep it that way, more U.S. forces and efforts to “succeed” or not.

Hillary gets a lot of blame for Benghazi. McCain deserves every bit as much blame. He is also just as much blame for Syria.

It's rather sobering to think how military "strategy" was run in the last usurper administration. McCain and Clinton took a big dump on Libya and Syria through the bogus Arab Spring. Meanwhile more soldiers were KIA since 2008.
I blame the Kenyan,Clinton and McCain for all of this but to invade Iraq while still heavily engaged in Afghanistan was something nobody has ever given a reasonable answer for.
As it stands now,Afghanistan has come full circle still holding Taliban which easily transit to Pakistan and billion dollar Poppy fields flourish. Iraq is now an Islamic State and proxy of Iran.
Nation building is stupid. Afghanistan and Iraq are not Germany and Japan. McCain is sick and a rather dangerous and demented man.

That Washingtonian power must be incredibly addicting. Who at 80 years old and diagnosed with a terminal disease wouldn’t want to spend their last few months with family and friends in stead of dealing in politics?
Folks, us commoners can’t conceive of the money (power) these people yield. We are never going to see any liberty or freedom restored until we destroy the system that has replaced citizen representatives with lobbyists and political cronies.
