President Trump has opted to remove Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director, as first reported by The New York Times.
Scaramucci's removal comes 10 days after his appointment to the role, a move which caused significant shakeups in Trump's White House.
The New York Times reported Monday that new White House chief of staff John Kelly requested Scaramucci's ouster, three people close to the decision told the newspaper.
Kelly reportedly made clear to White House staff members that he will be in charge there following Trump's announcement he would be chief of staff last Friday.
The Times reported that it is not clear whether Scaramucci will remain at the White House in another position or if he will leave Trump's administration entirely.
Some Twitter users on Monday voiced joy that Scaramucci, a former Wall Street financier, is already out of Trumps White House.

Great managers don't invite someone to give up a good job and probably take a pay cut to join the team, and then fire them in ten days. Scaramucci shouldn't have been hired in the first place. His demeanor and language made that clear.
Scaramucci was a liberal until he got the White House job. Check the logs of his now deleted Twitter feed.
Mucci should learn this lesson, keep all personal quarrels in house not in the press.
General Kelly will have the White House staff under control before nightfall. Expect more dismissals.
Who are "they?"
“Chaos” is the latest buzz word of the left. Like racist, it tell more about the one who utters it than the one it is directed at.
General Kelly wanted his own guy so the Moioch got fired, BIG DEAL!
Sarah Huckabee just said that Scaramucci’s comment were “inappropriate.” I imagine such lack of self control was a big red flag for incoming former Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly who demands more discipline from his White House troops (staff).
...but that's completely consistent with the #NeverTrump impulses which you liberally indulged throughout the campaign.
Disarray? Nonsense.
Necessary "cleaning house" phase? Absolutely...
I don’t need you to police me, pal. And I’m not on FR enough to know all the threads and jokes that have been said.
Overheard in the White House.
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go. (Let me go.)
Some people are smarter than others.
It’s not that tough to figure out.
and then they die of AIDS.
I don't think you do.
Forget about the Awad/DNC mess ever having a chance to be reported.
Sure. If this hadn't happened, the Media would have gotten right on that story. Are you serious?
This is some overdue house cleaning that's been going on, and lighting a fire under some people, and when the dust settles, it will have been highly constructive.
Or, you could just help amplify the predictable Left wing Media's "disarray" narrative, which they push at every opportunity...
No no no! Haven't you heard? Join the Media chorus! Disarray! (wrings hands that are clutching pearls)...
Because hiring highly experienced, eminently qualified Swamp-dwellers whose loyalty is questionable, and can't be trusted at all is a great idea, right?
President Trump has proven himself time and time again. Every time a rough spot comes isn't the time to start second-guessing the man.
Nobody else could have overcome the odds he did to get elected. The entire Establishment and Media was against him, along with half on his own party. They still are. And yet he still won.
Many of the Presidents "qualified" appointees are right this moment dis-loyally working against him and for the Swamp.
I'll continue to trust the President's judgement regarding who to bring into his administration—even if some of the choices don't work out for one reason or another.
The fact that the President pulled the trigger on Scaramucci so quickly—after Mr. Scaramucci screwed up—is a testament to his decision-making and management skills, not an indictment of it.
It's so predictable to see the same second-guessing crowd indulge the same Trump-bashing impulses that the Media loves to amplify—every time there's any opportunity for negativity. We already have the Left wing Media to exaggerate that ad infinitum. There's absolutely no need for any reinforcement of their propaganda.
There's nobody whose ongoing, day-to-day judgement I trust more in the federal government than President Trump—tweets and all. That's going to remain true for the foreseeable future.
Yes. GOPe Reince Priebus was replaced. Are you not paying attention?
Are regulations being removed?
Massively. Are you not paying attention?
Are Federal agencies being cut?
Massively. Are you not paying attention?
Are taxes being cut?
Many have been cut that are able to be via EO, and many more are coming legislatively.
Is Obamacare being eliminated?
If it isn't, it's certainly not due to any lack of effort on the President's part. He's been working tirelessly on that point with a GOP that seems to be full of cowards and liars, judging by the Obamacare repeal legislation they previously supported.
Is the military being strengthened? Massively. Are you not paying attention?
Who recommended these characters for WH positions?
Various people, including the President, who aren't perfect.
This chaos is seriously disturbing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's far more disturbing is the disingenuous questions you've posed above, knowing full well that most of the topics they touch upon have seen profound improvements, with much more winning to come.
You might need to turn off the cable news if your perception is so warped as to believe otherwise, because you can't be paying attention if you don't think significant progress has been made on the above issues.
I can't take the time to itemize every point from every topic, but, seriously, how could you not be aware of them? Do a little poking around. Ample evidence exists. Indeed, I believe Laz has a running list he maintains...
Very possible. A one-time deployment...
There's no "apparently" about it. Regarding the majority of the questions you posed, the answer was a definitive "yes". It's not even close. You're either being disingenuous, or not paying attention to what the Media isn't reporting...
Why is it that the NYT has the inside track and breaks this story. Mooch is a city guy — I get that. But with the media problems why aren’t we seeing winners being picked?
Hard to recover from such a filthy rant against Bannon. He also bragged that he could ignore Kelly and report straight to the Pres. when Kelly was his boss.
