Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., argued Monday that President Trump should follow through on his weekend threat and cancel all subsidies that federal lawmakers get to buy insurance under Obamacare.
He also said killing lawmakers' subsidies might be the best way to kill Obamacare.
"I think if he moves swiftly on it, I think you'd see a lot of these members and senators, they would want to work to repeal Obamacare very quickly," DeSantis said on Fox News.
Trump tweeted Saturday that if Congress can't pass a healthcare bill, "bailouts for members of Congress will end very soon!"
Trump reiterated the point again on Monday, when he asked why Congress should be getting a break that others aren't.
"If ObamaCare is hurting people, & it is, why shouldn't it hurt the insurance companies & why should Congress not be paying what public pays?" he asked.

Or Congress will repeal the law requiring that they use the Obamacare exchanges and put them back on the Federal health insurance program.
Judges, too, eh? Make sure to include them in ending the exemption.
That would require a law specifically exempting Congress. They did it by Obama’s order previously. Boy would that go over well.

No they passed a law putting them on Obamacare. Obama's executive order allowed for the subsidies for their insurance. Congress taketh away and Congress can giveth.
And tell McCain he needs to be getting his treatments at the VA from now on.
You specifically said in your comment that it would require Congress to repeal the law that makes them subject to Obamacare, which Obama exempted them from. To repeal a law requires another law. I am saying that it would be politically difficult, even for these pinheads, to pass a law that specifically exempts them from Obamacare (and Trump would repeal it.) That’s why they loved getting the exemption instead.
