With officers' credibility in question, Baltimore dismisses 34 cases

More than 30 cases involving three Baltimore police officers who are the subjects of an evidence-planting investigation have been dismissed or are set to be dismissed, the Baltimore City State's Attorney said Friday.

Body camera footage from an arrest in January that appears to show one of the officers hiding drugs at the scene has called the credibility of the trio into question, Marilyn Mosby, State's Attorney for Baltimore City, said.

She said 34 cases will be dismissed while 77 are still being reviewed. Twelve other cases are moving forward. "Where these officers are material and necessary witnesses, we are dismissing those (34) cases, which rely exclusively on the credibility of these officers," she said.

The cases involved felony drug or firearms charges, Chief Counsel Antonio Gioia said.

Black women in power. A basic nightmare.

The problem here isn't Marilyn Mosby. It's body camera footage of cops planting drugs.

So with absolutely no direct knowledge of this case you're confident that Mosby, the street thug posing as Baltimore's DA, has a solid case. After Freddie Grey anyone trusting her investigative skills is a few steps slow.

Uh that doesn’t work, they will assume they are now effectively legally untouchable and will promptly take it out on the rest of Baltimore.

Those people should remain in custody until the evidence against these officers is either cleared or proven.

Freddy Gray didn't die of natural causes. She blew that case. She will likely screw this up too. And the cops planting the "evidence" will skate.

Look @ the tapes if you think these cops are innocent. And the fact that he didn't conceal this from his partner means it was likely common proceedure.

Yep, those cases became losers when the officers’ credibility went to zero. Evidence of malfeasance and dishonesty in one case is admissible in all cases in which those officers took part.

If this True, I know it is CNN, but if the Video Really shows the cop doing this, why hasn’t he been charged with “Possession” and “Distribution”, had his assets siezed, and sitting in jail???

Mosby didn’t blow the Freddie Gray case, there never was one. The jury rebuked this BLM radical with what was a just decision. With this fiasco a part of her resume, I’m not prepared to side with her on anything before the accused have an opportunity to defend themselves.

Because he is a cop. They are above the law. Have a license to kill. Stay far away from any cop. They’re all liars that cover for each other, otherwise they won’t get cover when their time comes.

I know it is CNN...

It's all over. I just quoted CNN because they had slightly fewer popup ads. I wish you could still just post text versions of newspaper pieces.

Do any popup ad blockers really work? They make me nervous.

She is still there? She has 0 credibility and ability, but hey, she has other characteristics that far outweigh any shortcomings.

We are so far away from that now that we will never get to it. And its minorities who demand we treat them according to the color of their skin.

Right, as I said, the REAL translation of that bleeding-heart quote:
