Vanity-Should Murkowski, Collins, And McCain Be Recalled? Should McConnell Resign As Maj. Leader?
Self | 7/28/2017 | Self

Does anyone have information on the process of recalling Senators in the states of Maine, Arizona and Alaska?

How can McConnell justify remaining Majority Leader after such an epic fail?

Share your thoughts.

You should be sleeping.

Repeal the 17th Amendment. Then Sens will again be accountable to their state legislators.

There is no “recall” for Senators. Just reelection every six years.

Reince Priebus needs to resign tomorrow. He was brought in to work with Congress, a task he has obviously failed at.

Recall is unconstitutional per some SCOTUS case. Seriously. Not well known fact, but it is what it is.

Murkowski can’t be recalled, but any deal she made with Trump on Obamacare, (and he just bailed out Alaska for two years), should be ended if possible, or not renewed eventually. This will collapse Obamacare in Alaska.

Priebus maybe should resign, but not over this. Congress is responsible for what it does,

On a separate subject, Congresss is supposedly "hadning Trump a defeat" with a Russia sanctions bill. Not much news about it, but the Europeans are furious over the sanctions. Watch the press blame Trump for Congress's handiwork.

You don’t seem to understand a recall. It cannot be used for a federal office

Hence the answer is no

I tried counting sheep and as I counted each one changed into a RINO.

All this vote shows is that 52-48 is not a real majority, but statistically a tie. More conservatives are needed, the closer to 60 the better. I look forward to 2018 midterms. Kid Rock may not be an ideal conservative, but better than Stab-me-now.

McTurtle should be ousted, though Cornyn may not be much better. Thune or Barrasso are already in the leadership and may be the best we can hope for. Nobody else has much of a chance to challenge McTurtle.

Keep in mind that McCain’s brain is melting from painful
and deadly cancer and will soon come running out of his
ears like runny gray oatmeal with little black beetles in it.

After the bill failed tonight, McConnell spoke for a few minutes about how disappointing the vote was - blah, blah, blah. Pure crocodile tears on his part. How do I know it was all an act? Well to start with, not once in his remarks did he make any reference to the three Republicans who stabbed us in the back. It was all kabuki, complaining about how the Democrats wouldn’t cooperate, blah, blah, blah.

This deceitful dirtbag betrayed us. If two of those three RINOs had decided to vote yes instead of no, rest assured that two other RINO’s would have stepped in to replace them. McConnell played his usual game of betrayal. He needs to go.

Look, the U.S. Senate is rife with busybody, rich old men and old women on both sides of the aisle

On our side, almost all deserve to be primaried. Others will hopefully just drop dead.

Okay, fair enough. Do the state legislatures have any role that they can play?

You might want to go back and research the decade prior to the 17th Amendment being added. A critical amount of attention got dragged out over a full decade of corruption within each state over who ended up as Senator. It’s safe to say that the system prior to 1913 was badly flawed and the only solution viable was to put this in the hands of the voters, not the state legislature.

I would suggest....term limits....being the more appropriate answer today. Twelve years for either Senators or Representatives in DC being the max.
