Looked like he was still returning fire to the cops from the ground almost right up to the end. There was one shot after the “Cease Fire” that might have crossed the line, but he was still moving and still had the gun for most of the video. So at least 44 shots were appropriate.
Once you start you don’t stop until you feel the threat is neutralized. If I heard ‘cease fire’ and I still thought there was a threat I’m pulling the trigger. And any decent CO would expect such.
