Once you start you don’t stop until you feel the threat is neutralized. If I heard ‘cease fire’ and I still thought there was a threat I’m pulling the trigger. And any decent CO would expect such.
That’s why I said that final shot only might have crossed the line. I wasn’t there, the video doesn’t capture everything the officers saw, and I have no idea whether the officer who fired that last shot heard or didn’t hear the cease fire. All of the prior shots were legitimate, it’s just that the last one might potentially be a problem.
