Trump exposes cultural divide with sudden ban on transgender troops

President Trump on Wednesday banned transgender troops from serving in the U.S. military “in any capacity,” moving to scrap yet another of President Obama’s major legacy policies.

The dramatic reversal will bar transgender inductees and force transgender people in uniform out of the armed services, according to Pentagon sources.

Gay rights groups blasted the move as a rollback of equality, but the decision thrilled social conservatives and military readiness advocates, who said the Pentagon should focus on winning wars, not on social experiments.

“Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail,” Mr. Trump said when announcing the policy in a series of Twitter posts — an unprecedented use of social media.

The president said he made the decision after consulting with “my Generals and military experts.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders later added the president’s National Security Council to the list of those consulted and said Defense Secretary James Mattis, who is on personal leave, had been notified before the announcement.

Of course, my sweet, beautiful granddaughter doesn’t properly understand this issue. She even researched “the comparatively minimal dollar costs of the trannies surgeries, meds, etc.,” and accepted my arguments regarding disruptions in military readiness, but still remained “on the side of the trannies.”

I’m telling y’all, CA educations are nothing but indoctrinations. San Diego has one of our nation’s largest homosexual/lesbian populations.

Yes, I don’t think there is a divide - just an illusion of a divide foisted on us by the media. Normal people are sickened/saddened by this crap, and nobody wants them in the military.

Obama was trying to create a legacy as a leftist hero because so many leftists were disappointed with his eight years. Black Lies Matter was the most obvious manifestation of that disappointment; instead of paying for their gasoline and rent, Obama’s policies left them behind eight more years’ worth of immigrants that poured into this country unhindered. As his presidency wound down, his peeps realized they’d been had and rioted; in the end, all they could do was withhold their support from his successor (a la Al Gore), and help put a Republican in the White House.

Obama’s legacy won’t be gay/transgender rights; his legacy is and always will be the election of Donald Trump. That is why the left has to fabricate a “stolen election” myth; how will they explain Trump’s defeat of Hillary 100 years from now? He followed the Best President Ever, and beat the Best Woman Ever...
