Exclusive – Rand Paul: Let’s Repeal Obamacare Now!
Breitbart.com ^ | 26 July 2017 | Senator Rand Paul (R-KY)

Posted on 07/26/2017 8:06:53 AM PDT by Rockitz

I’m a physician, an eye surgeon. I’ve spent my entire life in medicine. I have seen the disaster that is Obamacare up close and personally.

Let’s review why we are here and why must we repeal Obamacare?

Firstly, Obamacare premiums have doubled in the individual market in just a few short years.

Secondly, Obamacare insurance rules and mandates have caused 4.7 million plan cancellations across 30 states.

Third, 800,000 fewer jobs because of Obamacare mandates and costs.

Fourth and finally, 50 percent of Americans have only one choice in insurance

Many counties now have NO insurance choices. 25,000 Kentuckians who make less than $25,000 a year pay Obamacare FINES instead of getting insurance, because they can’t afford the prices.

This bill is a clean repeal – though only a partial repeal. Arcane Senate rules prevent a complete repeal from being considered today. So, this bill is just the beginning. This bill begins to unravel the nightmare of Obamacare.

Let me be very clear, large parts of Obamacare remain after this repeal bill today. What this bill does, though, is force both sides to come together to find a bipartisan solution during the two-year transition. The bill gives us a two-year window for both sides of the aisle to come together to discover how we can get MORE insurance for MORE people for LESS cost.

Currently, there are still 27 million people without insurance even after Obamacare. Half of them say they can’t get insurance because it is still too expensive. One answer to this terrible situation is to legalize the formation of nationwide health associations.

The vote on the “clean repeal” is expected within the hour. Or, at least that’s what was announced earlier this morning.

All good reasons - but he forget to mention the corrupt, crony-capitalist government payoffs to big insurance companies to “serve the individual market.”

Amazing isn't it? The entire GOP was all for repealing Obamacare when they knew it wouldn't happen. Cowards.

I'm not disparaging Rand Paul as I have no doubt he'd sign a repeal bill.

The longer the congress does nothing, the worse Obamacare will be. Eventually the country will have to repeal it just to survive.

i.e. one road to repeal is to simply do nothing. For now...

To be fair, in many cases it is not the politicians, but their fear of their own constituents. i.e. there are R’s that have fairly liberal constituencies regarding the ACA. If they vote or repeal, they will lose their seat.

Not that that thinking is justified, but I think that is where some of them are.

My question has always been:

Why did you guys let it pass in the first place? Yes, I understand none of the Republicans voted on Obama Scare, but couldn’t you have held it up for a while before voting on it? I understand we didn’t have the people, that the ‘rats’ were in charge, but all of you congress ‘rats’ back there can do things when you want to, why didn’t you when this mess came out???

Still lays at the people that were ELECTED to do the job WE AMERICAN CITIZENS wanted done, you failed us then and you are failing us now...

Time to ‘Clean the Sewer’ and vote new people in both the House and Senate...I’m sure there are former Military; and others that would step up in a second to protect our Country in this manner...

The attendants of Fedzilla in Congress are never going to repeal Obamacare.
That would reduce the power Fedzilla derives from controlling all health care decisions and all medical records.

They will never do that.

All the clowns who want/wanted “O-care” are behaving AS IF the American taxpayers have N O T been taxed like crazy for the past 5 decades for programs of every description for disabled, indigent, unemployed, minority, etc.

Anyone and everyone in this country who walked into a welfare office demanded and got very generous and on going benefits up the ying-yang without the least difficulty ... and they STILL can.

“O-care” was an unnecessary duplication of all and everything ALREADY in place for people who needed medical attention... whether temporary or long term and whether they qualified or not!!

I am sick and tired of the f’n lies that the Liberals throw around, as if nothing was ever available for these groups.

I never heard REPLACE until the last couple of years - just rip it out by the roots, like you campaigned on for years. Let the free market place replace it we do not need the District of Corruption meddling in the nation's health care business.

House Speaker John Boehner vowed on Sunday to repeal the Affordable Care Act, saying the law, which the Supreme Court ruled as being constitutional this week, should be “ripped out by its roots.”, July 2, 2012

RE:”Why did you guys let it pass in the first place? Yes, I understand none of the Republicans voted on Obama Scare, but couldn’t you have held it up for a while before voting on it?”

The first Obamacare bill that Obama signed was passed in Senate with 60 votes, Obama had 60 Senators =+60 votes.(Ted Kennedy voted for it)

Then to fulfill a deal made with house they were able to mod the taxes and spending with a few less than 60: 57 or 58 in Senate.

Amazing that Republicans stuck together as they did,

RE:”To be fair, in many cases it is not the politicians, but their fear of their own constituents. i.e. there are R’s that have fairly liberal constituencies regarding the ACA. If they vote or repeal, they will lose their seat.”

I heard a bit of Rush replay last weekend and he was telling listeners that all the voters want it repealed and only the donors and other special interests are pressuring Senators to vote against repeal.

Really Rush, all? All those who got medicaid for themselves or for their kids want it repealed?
Even ones with sick kids?

I often wonder how many believe everything he says.

Many of these Senators got screamed at at home in their town halls about their sick kids and how Obamacare pays the bills.

I saw the scenes on cable TV.
