I did a bad job of stating my point. It gets harder to credibly label Trump's remarks as a charade between Trump and Sessions, or as a charade in general, when Trump's remarks persist over days and various outlets.

The "persist over days"' part of this actually reinforces my point. As soon as it went past the first 12 hours everyone should have been asking the obvious question: Why is Sessions still there?
