Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has told friends he thinks he will be lucky to last a year leading the State Department, according to a new report.

Foreign policy leaders, including Tillerson and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, have been clashing with West Wing insiders, such as adviser Sebastian Gorka and chief strategist Steve Bannon, over foreign policy outlook and strategy, Reuters reports:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has told friends he will be lucky to last a year in his job, according to a friend, while two officials said national security adviser H.R. McMaster was frustrated by what he sees as disorganization and indiscipline on key policy issues inside the White House.

Then maybe he needs to straighten up his act. Or is his true role to screw Trump as much as possible before getting fired?

It’s good that Bannon has Gorka by his side against the “Jivanka” crows. The President admires Gorka as a fighter.

Considering the beltway RINOs he hired, like the ones from Jebs team, and his slowness to sweep that joint out of Obama people, they what difference does it make?

If Tillerson and McMaster can’t defend their turf, they should resign. Don’t leak to the deceitful media. It makes them look too weak for the trench warfare that’s going on in the swamp now.

Tillerson may feel this way because he knows he doesn’t agree with Trump on anything and intends to fight him. If he really said that it shows me he thinks it won’t be his choice to leave. Why would he think that unless he knows he’s going to be fired for doing what the deep state tells him to do and not what his boss tells him.

How many “positive” articles have we seen from the press on President Trump???

How many of the articles from the press have we found to be either false or extremely exaggerated???

How many time have FReepers wrung their hands over something Trump has said or done, only to find out later that he knew exactly what he was doing???

Trump isn’t stupid...Trump isn’t a “professional politician” and the elite don’t know how to handle him...

My thought is to sit back and enjoy the show...

Why was he selected for SOS? I think you should have some political experience for that role. He doesn’t even agree with Trump on big issues.

“A source familiar with the situation told Reuters”

In other words, this article is total and complete bullshit.

I wish the President would block out time just to speak with cabinet members, alone and in groups. Don’t just rely on staff. If Tillerson is getting pressured by the WH staff, the President needs to take action and clear the air.

Same thing with Sessions - sit down and talk out the problem areas.

I know the President is a good businessman. So was I in my day while working in industrial management. When working with subordinate managers, we always had periodic evaluations, praising or correcting, and then setting goals for the next period. It might not work for that high level of cabinet secretaries, but some modified system might. Mr. President, don’t stop being a good businessman.

I am of the opinion that gay activist Tillerson was a bad choice in the first place.

“....He doesn’t even agree with Trump on big issues.”

What ever the differences are, and I don’t believe they are that great, the President knew when he hired him.

I’m not surprised, it’s a grind.

Think about: loss of income, constant travel, minimal privacy, loss of family time, constant haggling, constant criticism.

You are right.

To me it is not too hard to see a scenario where Obama loyalists (who outnumber Trump loyalists) are gaming the office politics. Trump needs to talk to his people and stop assuming that Obama’s people are his people.

One of the problems is that Obama did a masterful job of getting his disciples, the socialists, into both key and career jobs during his 8 year reign. They are hard to weed out, especially those who are in the government union.

I’m having serious doubts that there are leaks at all. I think they are just making the crap up and putting it out there. As long as no one takes ownership to these comments and no names are named, we are being played.

Then perhaps it is time to introduce new technology and duties. The White House is probably overdue for an upgrade and you can weed out the ones who cannot adapt to change.
