I wonder if the Newsweak author realizes that this is actually self-parody? That is a particularly cruel form of humor but here we have him comparing Trump to Hitler (full marks for originality there, right?) and the Boy Scouts to the Hitler Jugend, rather a less flattering comparison if that were even possible. And apparently without the slightest awareness of how incredibly foul and petty that makes the author sound.

Look, they're Boy Scouts and that's the President of the United States at their event, and that's pretty damn cool, and anyone so shallow and coarse as not to appreciate it is scarcely worth reading except for comedic value. Which this piece has in abundance. And what's funny is that the author didn't intend it that way.
