Some of the elected Republican officials really need to rally and stand with the President, this is a travesty of justice.

It’s like hiring Goebbels to investigate Churchill.

But but but... he can be fair and impartial and isn’t on a witch hunt or anything. Even ask him, he’ll tell you.

Session recused himself, but there is no honor among thieves so mueller doesn’t have to recuse himself at all...
I agree with trump, regretting sessions appointment...

But he’s fair, objective, and nonpartisan.

Paul Ryan says Mueller is a good Republican.
To: Beowulf9
Just to put that in "context related" terms, John Podesta would not be conflicted out of being on Mueller's team, by applying the DoJ conflict regulation, 28 CFR 45.2.
Newt is right on the money. Conflict management here must deliver an invetigative team that does not have the appearance of bias. This team has the apperance of bias. Anybody who donated to EITHER campaign has the appearance of a conflict, period.

Can Sessions un-recuse himself?
Then fire Mueller and the guy who appointed him.
I don’t see why not?

Mueller's buddies will point to that regulation, 28 CFR 45.2, and say they are not bound to recuse under the regulation. They'd be right. That regulation conflicts out FRIENDS, not ENEMIES.
John Podesta would not be conflicted out by 28 CFR 45.2.

Mueller is there because of Sessions and Rosenstein.
Why is Rosenstein OK with this?

Muller’s ex-firm (WilmerHale) is a big demo lobbying firm - not surprising about the donations. But, the people he has on his team - Jeannie Rhee - defended Hillary personally and defended the Foundation in 2015. Mullers not even trying to appear fair - send him packing !

We need to start the meme that Muller has a conflict of interest and needs to recuse himself.

They haven’t so far. Not on any part of Trump’s agenda. They have dragged their feet, lied and obstructed him at every turn. Remember that in 2018.

Somebody keeps publishing this stuff trying to keep us at each others’ throat. Why?

McCain sent an aide to the UK to pick up the first hard copy of the bogus Dirty Dossier from Fusion GPS. (Where the guy is now pleading the 5th.) McCain hand-delivered it to Comey. Then Comey requested the private meeting with Trump to discuss the Dirty Dossier on Jan 6th. The fact of the meeting and the existence of the DD was then leaked by Comey to the NYT, putting the entire Deep State Coup Trap into motion. (And BTW, this is why Trump thought one-on-one meetings with the FBI director were SOP: the first was at Comey's request.)
