Giuliani is very conservative on law and order issues. The crime rate in NY dropped like a rock when he was mayor.

New York City has been a police state for decades. There's very little about Giuliani's track record on law & order issues that would be "conservative" anywhere outside of NYC, Washington, Chicago and Los Angeles.

There was a vocal group of Giuliani supporters here on FreeRepublic when he was a candidate in the GOP primaries back in 2008. An astute Freeper pointed out the obvious reason why he was a terrible candidate:
