Trump Floats Possibility Of Giuliani Replacing Sessions As AG

President Trump has floated the possibility of replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with his steadfast ally Rudy Giuliani to serve in the top Justice Department post, Axios reported Monday.

Trump broached the idea in internal discussions about bringing in and surrounding himself with staunch supporters, sources within the West Wing told the news outlet.

Before The New York Times interview last week, Trump had already expressed anger and frustration at Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, Axios reports.

Trump, during the interview, opined that Sessions' decision to recuse himself was "unfair" to him and he would've likely picked another person to lead the Justice Department if he had known this is the move Sessions would make.

In a tweet on Monday, Trump went after Sessions, calling him “beleaguered” and questioned why the attorney general and federal investigators are not looking into Hillary Clinton for her “crimes” and ties to Russia.

Exactly, more “inside sources”. Scaramucci should just fire everyone today.

And the number of times these inside sources are actual correct? Minimal.

This news is probably speculation. Although to get around a long and bruising Senate fight, Trump could recess appoint Giuliani. The next recess is this August so 17 to 18 months until the next Cong session that start in 2019. Guiliani could do a lot of draining that time frame. An 18 month mandate to squash swamp creatures to death.

“How do you know there isn’t an ongoing Clinton investigation going on right now?”

Four FBI investigations into the CF were going on previous. They were being held in check from subpoena power by Loretta Lynch.

Progress is slow FRiends. We need people in place to do the work. Pray for Christopher Wray to be up to the job and that the President gets staffed up finally.

It is the recusal. The recusal is allowing Trump’s enemies unlimited resources to stage their “silent coup”. Sessions can’t do more than Trump.

Personally that’s what leads me to believe that this may have another audience. He may be giving cover for Sessions to do some “unpopular” things. The media will have to decide if they hate Trump or Sessions more.

So why aren’t the Committees and investigators, and of course our beleaguered A.G., looking into Crooked Hillarys crimes & Russia relations?

Pres Trump Twitter acct, today

And thus the purpose of these “inside sources”; dissension in the ranks.

I’ll wait until Sessions firing to make any conclusions. Prior to that,

DAMN THE INSIDE SOURCES!! FULL SPEED AHEAD!!

Hey, as always, I COULD BE WRONG. (So far, I’ve been pretty good, but things can change).

But until I see clear evidence that in fact the fake news is right about anything, I’ll stick to my evidence.

President Trump has just appointed the man that leveled the harshest accusations toward him in the campaign to be his communications director.

Trump made more false harsh accusations than any other candidate. He understands the difference between campaign rhetoric and facts.

That's my line of thinking. Trump is probably the most "media savvy" president we've ever had. His comment to the NYT that he is having buyer's remorse over Sessions was not an accident or unwise slip of the tongue. This was done intentionally and it had a purpose.

“That is DHS, not DOJ. His sanctuary city policy so far is all talk.”

Incorrect FRiend. The DoJ guides and provides resources to all these agencies. They’ve done it before with major busts against illegal alien gangs across the country.

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/latest-news/article151220982.html

Read the article and see what the law enforcement people say about getting added federal support “attributed to the Trump administration’s intensified effort to fight the gangs by “unleashing all the law at our disposal.”

That comes directly from DoJ.

Sessions is sadly recused from Hillary and the Russia hoax. Staff him up and he will be fine.

The entire Trump Administration isn’t staffed up with nominees blocked across the board.

the whole “russia” non sense is aimed at low info voters and their rabid base, they are fundraising like mad off of this...watch any coverage anywhere on election night, and Russia was not mentioned once. They were throwing anything out there..and once Sessions recused himself, then it became a serious problem. They wanna drag this out into the 2018 mid terms. and any collateral damage along the way, theyll take. They already got one scalp in Flynn. Trump needs to have a press conference or address it in a speech...this tweeting is not helping. At times, he acts like hes totally clueless...about his power etc...getting very frustrating

As I recall, Giuliani support was not allowed on Free Republic for the 2008 election.

I put this up there among the best posts on this thread.

But the possibility of Sessions recusing himself from any prospective investigation into Russian meddling was being discussed in late January. I posted some links last night showing that, but can’t get to that comment now because the system won’t load all my pings. I’ll link that comment when I can get to all my pings.

Trump giving big hints after hint for someone in the DOJ to do their job going after the obvious crimes. Trump eventually is going to find someone else to do the job if they won’t.
