To Sink Trump Is to Sink Ordinary Americans
The American Thinker ^ | 07/24/17 | Jeffrey Folks

The left is determined to sink the Trump presidency.

But something even more important than the Trump presidency is at stake. The ultimate target is not Trump, but human liberty. Donald Trump is a great man, but far greater are the millions of Americans whose dream of liberty he represents. Obviously, the left hates Trump with a vengeance, but what they despise even more is the average American with his dream of freedom and opportunity.

From the left's perspective, the Trump presidency is illegitimate not because it lacked a plurality of votes or because of the supposed Russian connection. It is illegitimate because it gives voice to those who do not deserve representation. Hillary Clinton let it slip when she mocked the "basket of deplorables," those whom she accused of racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and Islamophobia. Having at first insisted that "half" of Trump voters fall into these categories, she then retreated from that figure: it was somewhat less than half who are deplorable.

Rarely has a presidential candidate been so candid and so obtuse at the same time, for "deplorable" is exactly what the left thinks of average Americans. And for that reason, Trump's presidency cannot be allowed to succeed, even if sinking Trump means sinking the country. The left is willing to savage our economy, trash health care, weaken our national defense, and lose the fight against terrorism just to see that the deplorables are kept in their place. That is the central motive of the anti-Trump forces.

It is important to understand the true source of the left's disdain. It has nothing to do with policy or the good of the country. It is, in effect, closely aligned with the psychology of racism – the need of defensive groups to transfer their uncertainties to an object of scorn. In his chapter on "Judgement and Condemnation" in Crowds and Power (New York, 1961), Elias Canetti begins his analysis with "the pleasure of pronouncing an unfavorable verdict." This "cruel pleasure ... consists in relegating something to an inferior group" and then pronouncing judgment (296). Underlying the hostile rhetoric is always "the urge to push it to its conclusion, to the active and bloody hostility of two packs" (297), a process that ultimately entails the pronouncement of a "death sentence," whether actual or metaphorical (relegating one's opponents to the inhuman "basket of deplorables" or finding other ways of denying them speech and volition).

This is a dangerous state of affairs. The left's brazenness is something new, and something that holds the potential for great danger. As a Fox News commentary pointed out at the time of Hillary's deplorables remark, "anything [traditional Americans] say 'no' to is to be labeled racist, sexist, misogynist, xenophobic and nativist." This is just another way of saying that from the left's point of view, ordinary Americans should have no say, and no political or cultural existence.

This is obvious on it's face if one just thinks about it for a minute. The Left is in the thrall of global leftists and could care less what ordinary Americans want or think or deserve. In fact the worse things are for ordinary Americans the closer it is to what they think we actually deserve.

What is left of the old extreme left that the left considers extreme anymore?

Or, put in another light, have you nice folks noticed the odd comments from our leftwit foes that folks on the right are so dangerous that maybe locking us up is ultimately what it’ll take?

So compare that to what Ayers’ bunch once speculated after their revolution, that 25 million Americans would have to be killed in their reeducation camps?

Again, what is left of the old extreme left that the left really considers extreme anymore?

They’re not going to sink us and Trump.

We and Trump are going to sink them and send them running and hiding in their caves with their Islamic killer buddies.

BTW, the underlying spirit of the Lying Leftists the same spirit of Islam: the spirit of antichrist which is lesser than the Holy Spirit in us who will prevail now.

Later, when we’re gone the spirit of antichrist will cover the whole world with darkness, death, and destruction.

They’re hoping for a coup, basically. Sort what took down their beloved Soviet Union, but leading to communism instead.

If Trump is taken down, the left needs to understand that that is only the beginning and after the purging, they are not assured that they will be in charge of whatever is left.

So do I. People like the Bushes have always assumed they were better than us and knew what was really good for us. George H.W. Bush did everything he could to bring the Reagan Revolution to a dead stop upon his inauguration and republicans have been pushing back against Americans ever since...all the while mouthing the right words at election time but ultimately doing nothing but fighting to advance a globalist and statist agenda.

What did GWB do on election night 2006 when the GOP lost Congress? He sent Tony Snow out to tell the press that he congratulated the democrats and that he hoped that now he'd finally have a Congress that would work with him on Comprehensive Immigration Reform. That was the moment when my party blinders came off. The scales fell from eyes just like they fell from Saul's eyes in Damascus.

That’s their hope. They can survive 4 (or 8) years of Trump. Sinking him would be great, but sinking ordinary America is the holy grail they are in search of and sinking Trump looks like a way to do that.

It is easy to be offended by the news media. Who cares about their opinions? They do not represent the average hard working taxpayer.

I don't believe this poll - so called - but this is what "Ordinary Americans" are up against with a media that lies 24x7.

Public Evenly Divided over Impeachment of Donald Trump: USA Today/iMediaEthics Poll

IMHO America is about to witness it's first ever political-only impeachment where no "high crime or misdemeanor" has been proven to have taken place, AFTER the RATS retake the Congress in 2018 because the GOP has no guts and the NEVER TRUMPER GOPe will join in the fun.

maybe Trump can base a whole campaign rally for this. Charlie Ward should be the face of Obamacare... My liberal friends know nothing about this story and know nothing about death panels.

The left has gone so insane that they haven’t thought about the end game of their tantrums and foolishness.

They might think they can just destroy the president and somehow resume their “fundamental transformation” of America.

Maybe they think they can just declare Hillary or Obama president and forget about the last election.

But they couldn’t be more wrong.

If they destroy president Trump they are also destroying the last hope patriots have to save America peacefully.

That’s a can of Whoop-Ass they really don’t want to open up.

When you take away all hope from someone you have left them with nothing more to lose.

“The left is willing to savage our economy, trash health care, weaken our national defense, and lose the fight against terrorism just to see that the Deplorables are kept in their place.”

True, but mainly they want to hold on to their POWER and their MONEY more than anything else. This includes the GOPe and the RINOs as well!

Even when Bush II was elected, the left was alarmed by his stated support for American sovereignty. That is what the left wants to put an end to.

I don't think the rats take control in 2018. Not that the GOP doesn't deserve to get their ass handed to them but the President knows the consequences of that kind of a GOP defeat. I think he'll campaign hard...first for MAGA candidates against some of the most egregious GOP offenders in the primaries (he's already got Jeff Flake in his sights) and then for the party in the general. If one or two high profile Never Trumps POS lose their niminations the whole equation will change. I firmly believe that DJT knows what he's up against now.

It’s more than that. I read a very insightful article recently which pointed out that the big banks and international conglomerates stand to lose a lot of money if Trump’s policies take hold.

Career politicians in general (think “Never Trumpers”) and especially the Democrats are in the pockets of these monied interests. Never mind that their policies have resulted in the general decline of quality of life for average Americans - trillions of dollars are at stake! As usual, follow the money.

This was the joke of the massive hypocrisy exhibited by BO. “Main Street not Wall Street” was the rhetoric, yet during his two terms Main Street suffered endlessly while Wall Street profited mightily.

We can only hope that regular Americans figure out that Trump is really on their side. If we rally behind him, we can defeat the enemy! Let freedom ring!

The Republican party totally lost me during Bush’s 8 years. Their support for foreigners, illegal aliens, over Americans did it for me. He, and Congress, showed they didn’t give a hoot what we thought with their amnesty (no it’s not amnesty) crap.
I still haven’t went back. When they show me their policies are for Americans again I’ll think about it. Til then they can kiss my ___.
