National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch on Friday appeared to criticize newly named White House communications director Anthony Scaramuccis opinions on gun control.
Loesch resurfaced a tweet Scaramucci sent in December 2012, in which he said he was opposed to legislation that blocked sensible gun laws.
I dont support that legalization, never had, I have always been for stronger gun control laws, Scaramucci said in the tweet.

Does it matter what he thinks about (fill in the blank)? He’s not a legislator, an agency appointee, a judge ... just a mouthpiece.
Exactly. He made it clear multiple times during his press conference that he supports and will be advocating the Presidents Agenda to the public.
He’s not setting any policy, and Trump is on record as being very pro-NRA.
If the media wants to seize on this as the lastest “scandal” instead of Russia, I’m all for it.
He was bust deleting tweets reflecting his “former” positions today.
Good grief, no wonder we lost so much before Trump. Our side is populated with single issue idiots who don’t understand what position this guy is taking. What world do they live in?
I like Dana a lot but what he personally thinks on any issue doesn’t matter, what matters is he will fight with our President and win.
Of course it matters what he thinks — how can he convincingly defend policies in which he doesn’t really believe?
I predict he’ll get his mind right in record time.
Yep. Conservative Inc. cared more about hawking books, ACU ratings, and attending CPAC after-parties than they were about actually winning. Amazing that the guy they screamed was a NYC liberal turned out to be the most conservative President since Reagan.
You might be right. The Clintons are like that. They are professionally trained to sell anything regardless of their personal beliefs. Personally I don't like this approach of having someone out there selling things they don't believe in. It's phony. But that may be where we are and it might work for all I know.
Who cares what the Communications Director’s views on gun control are, and why? He is being hired to direct the comm office of the White House, not to make gun control policy. Trump has already made his views clear on the 2nd Amendment, so it doesn’t matter what the Comm Dir’s views are.
Dana is a pretty gal. But she was giving away teddy bears to cartel invaders at the border. Kook like Beck. NRA—LOSE DANA
This guy Scaramucci apparently holds several opinions on major issues that run counter to the President’s.
I have a strong feeling he’s going to be a disaster.
It’s not just one issue, unfortunately. “Mooch” has said he’s in favor of abortion and homosexual marriage as well as being a gun grabber.
I think the President is too trusting of people who then stab him in the back. I’m sick of it.
What difference does it make. He is NOT running for office. He is NOT making policy. He is a gifted communicator and that’s what he is going to do....communicate President Trumps agenda, not his own.
Or we could demand purity and have some second rate guy out there who can’t get things across to the people, we can let Trump stuck defending himself so we can’t get the things done we want, and we can end up with a dem congress and a dem President.
And don’t try to tell me that we can find someone who shares your values. Go find them, I haven’t seen one since Lee Atwater died
With all due respect, he doesn't sound much like a friend, saying that Trump should be president of "Queens County Bullies Association".That sounds like a complement.Maybe you would prefer president of Queens County Sad Sack
Bravo, excellent points because all you’ve stated is 100% truth.
The fact that he purged a lot of his anti 2nd tweets, etc., says he wants to present a unified front - none of that was secret.
Lots of concern trolls trying to make hash of all Trump's decisions - do you know what 93% of them have in common?
They don't seem to
so how invested are they really in their "concerns"?
