As a businessman I will have to disagree with your opinion of him...

I spent a "serious" career of about 30 years working at one of the world's finest hospitals.I've rubbed shoulders with (IOW,worked for) physicians, surgeons and researchers who have re-written the book on their specialty of expertise. While very few of these men qualified for food stamps during the later part of their career none of them ever came close to making tens of billions.

Then take Bill Gates. He,like Zuckerberg, has made billions.

The difference...the very,*very* big difference... between these men and Zuckerberg is that they've all done something, produced something, that's of real value to society. The physicians and surgeons: healing patients who, just about anywhere else on earth, would have died.Gates: Windows,Word,Excel,Outlook,Powerpoint and, very probably, other things that I,a computer novice, have never even heard of.

Zuckerberg? "Facebook"...the hula hoop,the pet rock of the 21st Century.Utterly useless...utterly frivolous...utterly worthless.But,it would appear,fantastically popular.

His politics and his social philosophy combined with his breathtaking lack of contributions to society is what makes him a useless punk in my mind.

Just sayin'...

The health care experts you mentioned contributed high value but their income was limited because they had to perform the work themselves. They were constrained by time.

Gates and Zuck were able to pay others to develop products that could be used by the masses across the globe. They made money while they slept ... a lot of it. They were able to use leverage.

utterly worthless

Sixty four billion dollars - we can talk character and “real value to society” but saying worthless I must disagree with.

As far as society I partook of Facebook about a month or two and that was enough, but my Mother gets to visit with her grandchildren on a daily basis and be much more involved in their life than I was with my grandmother, that is not worthless.
