Senator John McCain is vowing to return to Washington once he's been treated for brain cancer.
'Yeah, I'm going to have to stay here a little bit longer, take some treatments. I'll be back,' the 80-year-old Republican senator told South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, his close friend. 'I've been through worse.'
Graham shared the conversation with reporters on Wednesday evening, adding, 'So pray. God knows how this ends, not me. But I do know this: This disease has never had a more worthy opponent.'
McCain underwent surgery last week for what was thought to be a blood clot above his eye.
The Senate eagerly awaited his return and postponed a vote on the GOP healthcare bill while McCain rested up.

Regardless of how extremely sh*tty McCain was to Trump (out of pure bitter jealousy), Trump will attend McCains funeral.
That is what I believe as well. Trump not only understand the politics involved, he is as you say "a class act."
“BEFORE becoming a P.O.W., Wet Start Johnny McCain, is the arsonist-by-action responsible for a life-taking deadly fire aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal.”
You’ve seen the film, right? I didn’t see what caused the missile to malfunction, but I didn’t see anything from the other side of the deck causing it.
“Teddy Kennedy is definitely making space for another dinner guest.”
Ever read Saint Faustina’s description of Hell?
No. Please educate me.
There is something deeply wrong with these people. He’s 80 years old, and has brain cancer. It’s time to hang it up and enjoy his family while he can. The very fact that he is so desperate to cling to power absolutely disqualifies him from the position.
Senator Claire Engle (D-CA) and the 1964 Civil Rights Act (whch gave us affirmative action). Senator Engle was in the hospital after his second surgery for a brain tumor.
On June 1 1964, the Senate Majority Leader, Mike Mansfield (D-MT.) announced he would file a cloture motion. Such a motion would limit further debate to 30 more hours. However, while close, it was not clear that the 67 votes needed to invoke cloture were completely there at the time Senator Mansfield made his announcement. Senator Mansfield had determined, You have to hit bedrock sometime [...and] have to have a showdown. In June, Senator Engle was back in the hospital but kept abreast of the progress of the Civil Rights Act. Prior to the cloture motion, Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) gave the longest individual speech of the filibuster, carrying on for more than 14 hours against the Civil Rights Act. When the day of the cloture vote came, June 10, 1964, Engle was transported by ambulance to the Capitol, determined to make his vote count. In a wheelchair, Senator Engle was rolled into the Senate chamber. The historian Dennis W. Johnson described the cloture vote as such, “Promptly at 11:00 a.m., the clerk began calling roll. Mr. Aiken. Aye, announced George D. Aiken (Republican- Vermont). Mr. Allot. Aye, replied Gordon Allot (Republican-Colorado). When the clerk got down to E, the Senate reached a moment of high drama, rarely seen in its history.
Clair Engle was the hundredth Senator present, and he was determined to have his vote count. Gallery spectators watched in respectful silence as several times Engle weakly lifted his crippled arm, pointed to his eye, and tried to mouth the word Aye. Senate procedures did not require that a vote be uttered out loud, and Engles vote was recorded in the Aye column.
The cloture measure would pass by 3 votes.
This is probably the worst type of cancer you can have. It took my
Father in 7 weeks from being diagnosed.
If you observe what McCain’s support of Islamists in Syria did to the Christians in the region there can be no doubt that he is an agent of the Devil.
I don’t like McCain and I’m fine if the Lord decides to take him tomorrow (or sooner).
I did not pray for him to be sick but I won’t lie and say I hope McCain gets better, either.
I just hope McCain has the good sense to resign rather than be carried out in a box.
Yes, John, you will be back voting Bolshekratic in future elections.
