President Trump lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an interview on Wednesday, saying that he would have picked somebody else for attorney general if he had known that Sessions was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else, Trump told The New York Times.

I do not buy this news blurb. Seems fishy.
Replace then repeal him....
Fire his stupid ass then Donald.
The clinton cartel is still murdering people and Sessions is too busy complaining about kids with their loud music and dope and long hair, yelling at them to get off his lawn.
Mark Levin pushed for Sessions. Trump should have picked Rudy.
Trump graciously gave Sessions the opportunity to recover from stepping on himself.
Sessions blew it and now it’s time to clean house.
[ Sessions has done zero to impress me one iota ]
Recusing himself on the Media made up Russia BS was a dumb ass decision, which led to the Obama appointee second in command making more of a circus of the whole Russia crap.
His recent endorsement of “Civil asset forfeiture” laws really torqued me the wrong way too.
Also his seemingly non-action on certain swamp actions of previous admin also irks me.
Sessions should have never recused himself. He’s putting the law above loyalty to Trump. He’s behaving as if the intuitions of our republic are actually more important than Trump. He’s acting as if character matters. I’d say fire him.
RE: RUDY! RUDY! RUDY!
A few years back you’d have been banned for that...
Because it would look bad to instantly fire someone you just appointed. Anyway he is doing a good job in other spheres.
Trump comes across like an unhinged baby with these comments. Why would he be giving an interview to a sh!tty newspaper like the NYT who he’s been ridiculing constantly as a “fake news” outfit?
“If he feels that way why hasn’t he replaced him instead of just complaining about him?”

My guess is that President Trump is loyal to his friend and early supporter, Jeff Sessions.
But I believe the president’s patience with the attorney general is wearing thin.
Sessions recusing himself and not even discussing his intention with the president beforehand is outrageous.
Yes, I can understand him being pissed, but if he’s going to say anything in public he should say that Jeff made a mistake and move on. If this isn’t a public request for a resignation, I don’t know what is. Maybe he feels he can’t formally ask for it because of the ongoing witch hunt. Throwing your earliest supporter under the bus like this isn’t good.
“Sessions is a decent and honorable man.”
He is that, and that is why he has failed in his job as Attorney General.
Washington is a swamp. We need a man who fights. Gentlemen need not apply.
No American serving our country would be allowed to serve with a Top Secret Clearance after lying three times on his SF86. A big part of that clearance process is to determine integrity and loyalty to the USA and the US Constitution. In this post conservative era, we now have people who claim to be conservative yet experience no cognitive dissonance when they support unprincipled liars who put the Trump family business interest ahead of our national interest, our institutions, our way of live and our American Constitution. I remain loyal to this nation I love and our Constitution.
"Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president," he added. "How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, `Thanks, Jeff, but I'm not going to take you.' It's extremely unfair -- and that's a mild word -- to the president."
If I recall the reasoning for the recusal correctly, anyone associated with the campaign, Rudy included, would be obligated to do the same thing.
First of all, I’m not sure I believe this as it comes from the NYT.
Sessions should have never recused himself. However, now that he has, why can’t his deputy-AG or others in his office run any investigations or matters Russia-related?
If Sessions can’t do it, why can’t others look into the Clinton Crime Family?
I agree. He could have picked someone who didn’t have any ties to the campaign, and who could have prevented all this nonsense. Sessions didn’t have to recuse himself anyway, he got bamboozled by the deep state.
There is no law that says the AG must recuse, especially over this fake, manufactured scandal.
<-Huffington Post is that way.
