“Would she be doing any better if she did support Trump?”

Probably. Maybe not enough to win, but now she’s in NO MAN’S LAND without any real base of support. At least if she (or whoever was running as the Republican) was solidly behind Trump, people would actually turn out and vote.

Remember, this is an off-year election...very few states are voting at all - in other words, very low turnout. A bunch of rabid Trump supporters, even if only 35% of the electorate, could easily put a Republican in Trenton.

But she chose to ‘play it safe’...LOL!

Well, if you read the article, they aren’t saying she’s not being funded because of not supporting Trump, it’s because she’s so far behind. And she likely would have been so far behind even if she supported Trump. Most likely, the RNC would not be giving her a dime, even if she was the most vocal Trump supporter out there. On the other hand, Phil Murphy will help Trump?

Kim Guadagno is a loser from top to bottom — and this off-year election cycle in New Jersey isn’t going to be kind to Republicans anyway. Any money donated to her campaign would be better off getting flushed down the toilet.
