If we ever want to have viable public transportation in New York, it is essential that we get our elected and appointed officials onboard. Not just metaphorically onboard to adequately fund mass transit, but actually onboard the trains and buses that are the lifeblood of the city.
Anyone who lives or works here knows the wretched state of New Yorks mass transit. In April, there were 74,000 subway delays, up 164% from the average monthly delays in 2012.
Talk to a New Yorker and youll get a recent subway or commuter rail horror story, or three.
Back in the ‘60’s it was a premier transit system ,you could go anywhere via subway or surface. The trains and buses were clean as were the stations.
To be a conductor, bus driver, or engineer was a big deal
To fix Obamacare, make the politicians participate.
We could do this 24/7.
I like it.
Exactly. It's funny how our masters exempt themselves from cr@p that we,The Great Unwashed, endure on a daily basis.
If we want to fix pretty much anything, make the policy makers eat the same crap sandwich they feed us. Health care. Crimigrant invasion. Taxation without representation. Jorge Busho, O’Dungheap, McConnell, McCain, etc. They need to have to suffer the consequences of their treason and stupidity.
