Not really! It has more to do with islamic stupidity of this sahih hadieth, Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah: A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband. Sunan Abu Dawud* 41:5251 * some scholars say it's not correct (sahih) LOL

1) FGM is permitted per the hadieth hence the copy & paste and
2) it’s a not medical procedure but a pleasure procedure for the male

The older married guys just sigh for a second, and then get back to a state of happy denial. As an older married guy, I've heard it hundreds of times, often spoken with tremendous sadness. It's not true for me, but it is for far too many men - a shockingly foolish mistake by their wives. Whether or not that lack breaks up their marriages, a happy romantic life that includes the physical side of married life is one of the core foundations of a good marriage.
