What had I done to cause such a reaction by the administration? I had told a joke when discussing off-shoring, the practice of firms shifting work abroad, often in search of lower wages. Here it is:

He gets a call center in Pakistan where the call center employee asks, “What seems to be the problem?” The American responds that he has lost his job due to the work being sent overseas and states, “I am really depressed and actually suicidal.” The call center employee says, “Great. Can you drive a truck?”

This is a travesty but an art teacher using his class to rail against the NRA is no problem (true story, I took an art class for a general ed requirement; these “profs” is the arts, poly sci, and philosophy wouldn’t have a job unless the U forced people into the classes by holding their diploma over their heads).

I think the point is, it shouldn’t be begging for trouble. American colleges and universities are now only groupthink-approved indoctrination centers.

“Diversity and inclusion” = “divide and conquer”.

The modern day university system has made any degree virtually worthless.

I say this because even if your field of study or major wasn’t part of the “social justice sciences”, you were either exposed to them and bought into it, or even if the indoctrination didn’t take, there’s that lurking suspicion due to guilt by association.

All the more reason to have managers, chief engineers, and department heads do the hiring, versus having the social justice HR lackeys doing it.
