Depends on how popular or unpopular it would be in their state. Half of West Virginia is on Medicaid. About half of the rest are on opioids. If Capito cuts off the federal spigot for that then she's toast.

Names and pork, great idea. The pork is seldom mentioned but equally important for voters to know about.

"The vast majority of Congress prefers to grow the scope of federal government influence and power, but it can’t openly vote that way"

Agree 100%

This is also the reason that the only workable solution is an article V convention of the states. If we were sitting with only a couple states to go right now everyone of these bastards future would be before their very eyes. It would take but one amendment to end government involvement in healthcare forever.

Collins voted against the repeal in 2015. At least she's consistent. Link

Just more lies.

The 2015 bill did not repeal ACA.

Your estimates are greatly inflated, but your reasoning is correct. Expanded Medicaid is the biggest problem, as most of those receiving it are voters.

If we had leadership, they’d call every one of the NO votes into the office and explain that they will be primaried, and not a dollar of Republican funds will be there to help unless they repeal it.

Do you think Harry and Nancy would put up with this crap?

And yes, those three would vote against it too, they always vote Democrat when it’s something important.

“They wanted 70 billion in pork to vote yes.”

That’s what happened with Obamacare. Landrieu of La and Nelson of Nebraska received significant rewards for being the last 2 to ‘yes’ Obamacare.

That was the vote on cloture, and it failed. This is the vote that sent the repeal to Obama for veto.

Has Trump gotten control of the RNC yet? He needed to win to run the RNC. Now, he has, but I haven’t heard of any housecleaning. Romney’s niece is in charge. That was a big part of what I wanted Trump to do, so the GOPe wouldn’t be favored in places like Mississippi ever again.

If certain politicians can’t do what their constituents want & what they were elected to do,then let them seek other employment & maybe some honest statesmen can take their place.

If anyone can solve it, it’s Jared Kushner.

None of them are up for re-election in 2018. Collins and Capito are up in 2020. Murkowski and Portman in 2022. It will have blown over long before then.

Our best chance for 2018 is to replace at least 3 (preferably more) Democrat Senators with Conservative Senators who will vow to vote to repeal Obamanation.

The four RINO Senators who vote no should definitely be targeted in 2020 and 2022. IMHO, any Republican Senators who vote to ratify President Trump's nominees and to repeal Obamanation should not be targeted.

Not a given anymore. Not the way the GOP congress keeps screwing up.

What about leaving the expanded Medicaid program and terminating the rest of Obamacare?

No, I don't like it, but at least the expanded Medicaid program was optional for the states. The rest of the Obamacare law is what forced the rest of us to give up our doctors, hospitals and health insurance plans that we wanted to keep so we can pay ridiculously high premiums and deductibles for polices that cover sex change surgery.

Not a given anymore.

Nope, it isn't. But it is still a possibility. Getting rid of Collins, Capito, Murkowski and Portman in 2018 is not.
