The writer of that freepmail misses the main point... it is DONATIONS ! Nobody forces him or anyone else to donate, so what does it matter how much money is donated?
Is he also complaining CNN, Huffpost and Politico make a profit? Better one of the few consistent conservative sites for political news and discussion makes a profit. Maybe he is a Marxist and doesn’t think anyone should get more than their comrades.
Some people seem to think that when they donate to FR – presumably because they appreciate and want to support it – this somehow makes them ‘shareholders’, instead of simply guests in this House.
(When my friends invite me to their beach house, I give them some money for food, entertainment; but that doesn’t give me the right to dictate how they order their household!)
The writer of this screed seems also to assume that Mr. Robinson is merely ‘stubborn’, and dislikes change, completely disregarding the thoughtful and reasoned arguments for doing things the way he does that Jim has shared with us repeatedly.
Seems very arrogant; and the way it’s being done is sneaky and distasteful.
