Academia needs to be purged of all the kook professors. they have the mentality of homeless people, and would fit right in living under an overpass and washing their private parts in the landscaping sprinklers.
Not saying that this applies to these ones. Or not.
I really doubt most professors in the humanities and social sciences could survive 24 hours under a bridge. The scientists would fare better—though, obviously, not these people. (Frankly, I’m not sure a “geographer” qualifies as a scientist.)
