Kid Rock sent out a tweet to his followers on Monday with an image attached saying, "I Believe if you work your butt off and pay your taxes, you should be able to easily understand and navigate the laws, tax codes, health care and anything else the government puts in place that affects us all."

TGP reported that Kid Rock would potentially be running for Michigan Senate back in February.
Elizabeth Warren seems nervous over Kid Rock's Senate run as she was already attacking the singer before he officially announced his run just a few days ago when she said the following:
"I know a lot of people are thinking: this is some sort of joke, right?" Warren wrote in an email blast with the subject line "Senator Kid Rock (R-MI)."
"Well," she said, "maybe this is all a joke -- but we all thought Donald Trump was joking when he rode down the escalator at Trump Tower and announced his campaign, too.
"And sure, maybe this is just a marketing gimmick for a new album or tour -- but we all thought Donald Trump was just promoting his reality TV show, too," she added.
On July 12th, the rocker teased his Twitter followers about his potential plans to run for Senate in Michigan.

Many believed the 'announcement' was fake, prompting Kid Rock to post the following note on his website:
Once again the press is wrong. First of all, I've got 15 days from my announcement to file paperwork with the FEC! Second, I'm not signed to Warner Bros!!! - which simple fact-checking would have revealed. I have recently worked out a unique deal with BMG, Broken Bow, CAA and Live Nation to release music ON MY TERMS. Like politicians write books during their campaigns, I'm planning on putting out music during mine and IT ALL STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT. It's not a hoax, it's a strategy and marketing 101! No plans for an album or anything else that has been the usual norm in the music business OR politics.....and....
Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I'll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullshit.

Stabenow is in favor of all those bad things too. Its a huge net gain. I’m for him.
You make it sound like it's a binary choice. There are two other people running for the Republican nomination. Why is Rock better than either one of them?
And neither of them has the slightest chance of beating Stabenow. Kid Rock will win and there will be another “R” in the Senate.
Also, it does something that horrifies dems. The repubs are the new counter culture. This reinforces that hard.
Because they are both guaranteed to be boring losers who have no chance of beating an incumbent. Next question please...
