Academics and scholars must be mindful about using research done by only straight, white men, according to two scientists who argued that it oppresses diverse voices and bolsters the status of already privileged and established white male scholars.
Geographers Carrie Mott and Daniel Cockayne argued in a recent paper that doing so also perpetuates what they call white heteromasculinism, which they defined as a system of oppression that benefits only those who are white, male, able-bodied, economically privileged, heterosexual, and cisgendered. (Cisgendered describes people whose gender identity matches their birth sex.)
In their 22-page paper, Citation matters: mobilizing the politics of citation toward a practice of 'conscientious engagement,'" they explained that their work was motivated by shared feelings of discomfort, frustration, and anger over actions of fellow scholars and publication practices.

400 years ago half world was running around neked playing Hatfield and McCoys, and eating each other - raw and cooked
thank goodness for the white folk who were writing symphonies and perfecting common law at the time
ships weren’t the best invention for the western world
Norm Chomsky hardest hit. (Supposedly he has the most cited paper in academic history)
Reason, logic, and the scientific method are now racist, sexist, and homophobic. It is all part of the oppressive heteronormative patriarchy. /s
Ain’t that the truth! Africa, with all its wonderful natural resources, was developed by the white man.
Look at our country. Who developed our natural resources...the white men from Europe or the Native Americans?
Straight White men are refused admission in college, job, government contracting. Straight White men are accused of every crime imaginable. And now this. Enough.
trolling for research dollars!
Excuse me morons but I didn’t know if you were X you get a different result than Y or Z...GROW UP LIBERALS!!!
....it's poo-poo in the wapo..... :)
These inferiors in universities, the only jobs in which they are able to excel , are jealous of those who are more talented and competent than they will ever be. Even with the laws rigged against the achievers, these betas can’t keep up, so they are the constant complainers about their lot in life.
I could have taught at the U of Dayton 2-3 more years but I saw stuff like this coming.
Retired asap.
So, where does academia go from here, other than hell?
I decided, in the sixties, to not get get my Phd in history (medieval) because it was clear to me that a conservative historian would be a fast ticket to driving trucks for a living. Academia has lost the chance for a lot of great academics because of their decades long blitzkrieg against conservatives.
So much of what is written now on history is simply total bs.
I think the universuty system has to collapse entirely.
Please tell my why a mother of at least one son would ever think about voting for a leftist Democrat, let alone actually vote for one.
E-damned-nough. Get me a length of rope, it’s beyond time for a neck-stretching party. God as my witness, I’m gonna commit an act of homicide. It’ll be up to a jury to prove it wasn’t justifiable, ‘cuz I got centuries of history in my favor.

"My research investigates workplace culture and entrepreneurialism in San Francisco's digital media sector. Drawing on perspectives from cultural, economic, feminist geography, and contemporary social theory and philosophy, I explore through interviews and participant observation how people manage and conceptualize their work in the context of 'new media' startup firms that develop websites and applications for smartphones and tablets, as well as other back-end digital products."Carrie Mott, Department of Geography, RutgersHis articles/papers include:

The Left is quite creative with its manipulation and mutilation of the language.
...”Why am I NOT surprised that this propaganda piece was published in WaPo?”...
So, the WaPo published this which leads one to believe that they are promoting the idea that straight white men must be denied the right to run things, so, one might think that “un-straight” white men would be fine, which leads one to wonder which kind is dominant at the WaPo. Looks like some big time discrimination is going on there.
