As slimy and dishonest as Schiff is, the media had to use him versus someone like Kaine babbling about treason. They are walking that back. Schiff is forced to talk about Trump's asking Russia for the 33k emails (it was a joke, but the media lost their sense of humor long ago) because that is all he's got. He says Trump Jr is a criminal but the only crime he can name is solicitation of a foreign campaign contribution.
In an objective evaluation, the approach from the Russians was an offer, but Trump Jr did not solicit. Schiff keeps hinting about the classified briefings he was privy to, but listening to him carefully on C-SPAN I have to conclude there was nothing extra in those briefings.
Let’s make it so easy even Chris Wallace can understand it. A Russian adoption attorney who was given special entrance by Lynch used the Clinton crime story as bait to pitch her adoption sanctions being lifted request.
She may have been there to help Comey get FISA to allow taps on the Trump campaign, but most likely it was this woman wanting to get the adoption sanctions lifted if Trump won.

Goldstone's characterizations are treated as an article of faith, by the press. They are true because they are in the email, I guess.

it's the same old insinuation by omission that has been used for ages. Comey used it to cast shade on Trump. "Can't tell you in public" naturally leads to a leap that what is there, is bad. Congressional Committees deliberately use this technique to slime Trump, and they hide behind "no negative inference should be taken," then go out in public for the purpose of cultivating negative inference.
