Kalkaska’s village president’s continued refusal to apologize for his Facebook posts may trigger an attempt to remove him from office.
A series of posts village President Jeff Sieting shared on his personal Facebook page — including one that appeared to call for the killing of Muslims — caught Cindy Anderson’s eye several weeks ago. She and others fruitlessly sought Sieting’s apology at a June 26 village meeting.
Anderson, a real estate broker who owns land in the county and grew up near Kalkaska, returned for Monday’s village council meeting and asked Sieting if he thinks he should apologize for the social media activity. He displayed no remorse.
“I owe nobody an apology for exercising my First Amendment rights,” he said.

It won’t surprise me if he does.
You are not allowed to resist submission to Islam.
His First Amendment rights have not been threatened as there is no governmental agency attempting to prosecute him, or challenge his right to express himself.

It’s a stupid idea because it’s not workable. You could never kill them all, and even if you did, you can’t kill an idea. The Quran is already out there on the Internet, and it can never be got rid of. So even if you killed all the Muslims, some wackadoodle eventually would find the book and resurrect the religion.
It’s like herpes, it’s not curable and there’s little can be done apart treating the eruptions as they occur.
I live about a half hour from here. These people...they’d show up with pitchforks, torches, and 12 gauges in the village square if Trump declared open season on moslems.

Some of them do. But it's asinine to act as if all of them do, and equally asinine—and un-Christian, of course—to say "kill them all".
Indeed, such a sentiment simply mimics the exact same blind, thoughtless savagery which Islamic extremists display. Certainly nothing any thinking person should emulate.
Make no mistake: eventually the world may very well indiscriminately kill Muslims as an act of desperation—especially if the Muslim world fails to "clean up its act".
But to blindly advocate such evil—and that's precisely what it is—will always be wrong. Christ's example must always be followed—even when addressing Extreme Islam...
