Russian lawyer who met with Trump Jr. has long history fighting sanctions (strip-searched on entry)

Veselnitskaya’s visa for U.S. entry was denied, but she received special permission — in what is known as a “parole letter” — to come to New York specifically to defend Prevezon and Katsyv. She said in a court statement, however, that when she tried to reenter the United States, she was detained at London’s Heathrow Airport and “unjustifiably subjected to a strip search, for no apparent reason.” She eventually received permission to come to the United States to continue her work for Prevezon.

That set the stage for Veselnitskaya to be in New York City in June 2016, where a hearing related to Prevezon case was being held in federal court.

Did NSA intercept the Rob Goldstone memo to Trump Jr. setting up the meeting that mentioned that Natalia had Clinton dirt...and then intimidate Natalia by strip-searching her on entry into the US thus causing her to avoid any mention of the dirt on Hillary at the meeting?

In the article Natalia says that on entry to the US on the way to having this meeting she was “unjustifiably subjected to a strip search, for no apparent reason.”

If you were Natalia, wouldn't you take this as a big hint that maybe US intelligence was onto your mission to Trump Tower?

The fact that a Federal Court could overrule Homeland Security and order her admitted to the US disturbs me.

A little on the porcine side, but better to strip search her than Maxine Waters or Chelsea Clinton.

“unjustifiably subjected to a strip search, for no apparent reason.”

How do we know this is true...?

My guess it was an opportunity for her to receive instructions regarding the Trump JR meeting and to set him up as subsequently occurred.

How do you get to a Trump, DJT, Jr. no less to plead your case on a issue unrelated to the Presidential campaign? Tell the campaign that you have dirt on Hillary. Bingo, presto a meeting at which Natalia openly pushed her issue and knew nothing and had nothing on Hillary.

Also from the comments at GatewayPundit:

According to a complaint filed to the Department of Justice Foreign Agents Registration Act division last July, Dellums FAILED TO REGISTER AS A FOREIGN AGENT representing a Russian-driven effort led by Veselnitskaya to repeal the Magnitsky Act. He, along with other Hillary Democrap operatives, was on Veselnitskaya's (and Putin's) payroll to lobby to overturn the Act.

Recall during James Comey's testimony on Capitol Hill this week, Representative Jim Himes asked whether Paul Manafort ever registered as a foreign agent under FARA for his dealings with the Ukraine. Never heard of FARA?

FARA is the Foreign Agents Registration Act. It requires people lobbying on behalf of foreign governments or entities to register with the United States government. Failing to register under FARA sounds like a big deal. There's the potential for jail time and thousands of dollars in fines.

The Act requires agents to make periodic public disclosure of their identities, agency, activities, receipts and disbursements. The threshold for a criminal investigation is the presence of reason to believe that a significant FARA offense has been committed and that sufficient evidence should be available to prove this. The common threads of the last four FARA criminal investigations were: millions of dollars in receipts or expenditures by the prospective defendants; "core" violations of FARA with jury appeal; and evidence of willfulness.

Sounds like an interesting paradox those nitwits are facing.

1. If they claim that this Russian lawyer was an agent of the Russian government in their attacks on Donald Trump Jr., then they're facing their own legal troubles.

2. If they're accused of operating for a foreign government because of their relationship with the Russian lawyer, their one credible defense is that she wasn't an agent of the Russian government.

It's really interesting to see how the Trump administration is dealing with so many attacks that have turned out to be major boomerangs.

No...your time line is not correct.

Veselnitskaya was granted a US visa in Oct 2015 to help the defense in a fraud case involving the Russian oligarch Katsyv. She was detained at Heathrow and complained of being strip searched at that time.

WashPo is putting blame on US, but was strip searched by Brits at Heathrow, not by our TSA.

Since the WSJ, WaPo, NYT, and CNN have been well known outlets for CIA disinformation operations in the past; (As exposed in the Church Committee Congressional hearings)......are those same operations currently very active through their agents placed in the MSM?

Are elements of the US Government attempting to pull off a soft-coup against the legally elected President of the United States? .......as they did with the murder of JFK?

Is President Trump being visciously attacked via disinformation agents planted in the MSM as part of a contemporary version of Operation Mockingbird?

I think the coup is broader than that, but yes. Comey planted seeds for accusations based on innuendo, which is what the press and Congress have been running on nearly full time since Trump won the election.
