The Louisiana State Police released new details Monday of a fatal officer-involved shooting last week that has sparked controversy in Evangeline Parish, saying the deputy who opened fire on an ATV driver had been attacked during a 4 a.m. traffic stop.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office deputy, who has not been identified, "was dazed and saw stars" before fatally shooting the ATV driver, 27-year-old Dejuan Guillory, according to a State Police report.

I got a problem with the Associated Press and other news media publishing the account of the incident given the woman charged with Attempted Murder.

In her version, she and her boyfriend were two defenseless victims and seems to be advocating VIOLENCE against the police.

The Louisiana State Police is saying she bit and pulled the hair of the deputy as well as choked him and tried to take his gun away. This was while the deputy was struggling to arrest the man (who had just punched the deputy two times.

The deputy had to be treated at a hospital.

I am very angry at the MEDIA over their trying to get people to kill Police Officers like what happened last year when then-president Obama was calling on people to attack the police (and the police were attacked and killed in Baton Rouge and Dallas.

Thank God Donald Trump is president!

The woman was also quoted as saying:

"We are going to kill him!"

Maybe the MEDIA should have given CHARLES MANSION a platform to tell people what really happened during HELTER SKELTER with how the MEDIA is giving this woman charged with ATTEMPTED MURDER a platform.

The poor deputy lost control of the situation. Maybe shooting the man was the only thing he could do to protect his life.

Trayvon Martin in the making? I did a Google image search for Dejuan Guillory and all I could find were sweet pics of him kissing his baby daughter goodnight. None of his gang pics with him scowling and giving the camera the double finger. They’re trying to set this guy up as an angel. Yeah, like an angel would attack first and try to kill a cop.

The Left wants their to be anarchy so disrespect of the police is necessary

Even here at FR there are some who will blame the police first rather than wait to find out what happened. This encourages anarchy. Anarchy always LEDs to authoritarianism and dictatorial governmental responses

Earlier they were posting about him stealing an ATM with a backhoe and that he shot at police (but not charged).

That report said that Dejuan Guillory was supposed to be serving a 5 year sentence.

But he lives in a rural community called Mamou. I doubt if there are any gangs.

But the Deputy had to go to the hospital after this attempted arrest.

Just like the population of the U.S., where we can't get a handle on the number of illegal aliens actually in country, so it is here at FR, we can't get a handle on the number of poseurs and leftists who have "joined up" and now "inhabit" the posts just to be able to berate and insult and harass the rest of us on a daily basis. It's been going on for years.

The media is portraying Dejuan Guillory as a concrete contractor, not as someone who:

1. stole backhoe to steal ATM
2. stole ATM and severely damaged bank building
3. shot at police (this charge was dropped)

At the time of the incident, the Deputy was trying to determine if the ATV was stolen.

I imagine the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office was able to get custody of ATV and found out who owned it.

Their is gang activity, or wannabes emulating the behavior, in Mamou, believe it or not. It’s been a problem through rural and smaller communities for a while now.

“But he lives in a rural community called Mamou. I doubt if there are any gangs.”.......

The unlikely existence of a formal “gang” may be doubtful in a rural area but let me tell you, they DO EXIST, perhaps not in large numbers but what headcount number determines an official "gang"?

He stole a backhoe then used it to destroy an ATM, and then shot at a law enforcement officer. After which this uncivilized Democrat was allowed to walk the streets among civilized law abiding citizens while he should have been locked in jail awaiting trial. How can this happen?

Louisiana’s Democrat Governor, John Bel Edwards, pushed through the recent legislative session laws that allow him to reduce the prison population in the interest of saving money. I suppose in Mamou they took it one step further and refused to even lock him up before he was even tried.

Either way it is Democrats taking care of their voters and it will prove to be false economy.

I consider our GOVERNOR to be JELLYFISHJohn Bel Edwards.

He has no BACKBONE and does not provide leadership.
