A painting of Jesus on a cross left outside an Islamic Center in New York is being investigated as a "hate crime."
An employee at the Hillside Islamic Center in Nassau County on Long Island discovered the painting hanging from a fence on the property on Friday, NBC New York reports.
Authorities are still looking for the individual who put the painting there and police in Nassau County are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

It’s more a graphic print or copy of a silk screen, not a painting. But I know the actual medium is not the issue.
I wish I had one of those for my wall.
So if you say anything about Jesus to a Muslim, will it be a hate crime? It is in Muslim dominated countries. Why are we allowing Muslims to dictate what is or is not allowed in our society?
I’m chuckling in spite of myself.
It’s a love crime. A crime against men’s rules maybe. But not God’s.
I’d like to be the proverbial fly on the wall in that court. Let’s hear a gospel explanation!!
Hate would be to let them go to Hell without telling them or showing them the way to salvation...

Imagine the reaction if someone had burned a bagel with lox on the front lawn!
Perhaps Christians could picket the place with copies of the picture, further titled something like “Is showing this a hate crime? Or is it a love crime?”
Strange, if it had been put in a jar of urine, the NEA would call it “art” and fund it.
Sounds like Sharia law.
I’m in Orlando ,, some of the victims in the Pulse Club shooting worked at my wifes restaurant,, I haven’t seen that labeled as a hate crime...
Why? Muslims say “they love Jesus”.
True... they claim Jesus has a place in their story.
So why would an image depicting Jesus draw such complaints?
Ahhh... maybe answered my own question, given the extreme allergy to images in SOME Islamic groups. They think it’s blasphemy against Allah to do it.
So fine. Evangelize them with pictures of an empty cross.
Maybe its a sign of protest.
Maybe it’s a gift yo the muslims since they claim they also wordhipJesus.
Maybe it’s the Chrstian Bansky trying to get his art career going.
The shooter was bi and frequented yhe club and he didn’t hode it from his wife.
