A senior U.S. Republican senator predicted on Sunday that the Republican bill to roll back Obamacare would likely fail, adding to growing signs that the bill is in trouble.
"My view is that it's probably going to be dead," Senator John McCain, a senior U.S. Republican, said on the CBS program, "Face the Nation."
The Senate bill, which faces unified Democratic opposition, has been further imperiled during a week-long recess where several Republican senators have had to return to their states and face constituents strongly opposed to the bill. Senators return to Washington on Monday.

Boom! There ya go.
I get the feeling President Trump has a FReeper lurker in his inner circle.
Yo, lurker, have President Trump push for a bill that require Congresscritters to subscribe to Obamacare.
The only thing dead is McCain’s reputation but that died years ago. He can”t follow it soon enough.
It died when McConnell began talking about a bipartisan health care bill with the Democrats.
GOP has given up on repeal.

what part of “REPEAL IT!” can’t McShame understand?
Senator John McCain, reliable old junkyard dog, protecting the low-value and largely un-recyclable debris of a bygone glory. There is NOTHING worthwhile to salvage from this monstrosity known as “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”, and even the Obama regime would not enforce large parts of it, except, of course, to collect the taxes mandated by its language. At best, the ACA was “feel-good” legislation passed to assuage some perceived need for an additional entitlement, but ended up being the worst form of a narcotic, with evil side effects and an entanglement into things far removed from treatment of medical disorders.
There is a notion that an entitlement, once set into law, cannot be repealed or reduced in any manner, but that way lies madness. ANY law may be repealed, and the cost is far less than the doomsayers claim it would be. Think of repeal as a HUGE tax cut all across the board. benefiting even those who believe they have a total dependence on its preservation. There are vast resources to reach every one of those “exceptions”, and to just provide a blanket for everybody for the benefit of only a small number, is the very worst example of “throwing money at a problem”, when in fact a problem may not even exist.
Yo! Juan!
Go away and take Flake with you.
False party is false.
Course it would hurt us, no insurance, but on the other hand, what are they going to do, shut down all the hospitals, doctor offices, drug stores???
Yeah about two months in, people would start yelling their heads off...then comes the plan that President Trump wants, and we could finally get the government out of our health care...on to the next project...
Ditto, and he can take McConnell and Collins with him.
Too bad McShamey hasn’t died
Some loser repub admitted they had nothing prepared because they didn’t think President Trump would win the election. Lazy a**es...typical government “worker”. Also, they promised to appeal nobamacare. I guess they like being LIARS. Pathetic.
Dang, I read the headline too fast. Senator McCain... likely dead. I guess RIP wouldn’t be appropriate yet.
If Congress was on Obamacare then they'd sink tons of money into it to get it to work.
MCCAIN and other ANTI-TRUMPERS may think they are hurting PRESIDENT TRUMP by their inactivity, but there will be a day of reckoning for them in 2018.
Have y’all noticed how the GOP only cares about pleasing RATs? They don’t care about the people that voted for them.
Those scum in the GOP know those jackasses at their “townhalls” are RATs, but they think we are too dumb to know that.
Lurkinanloomin says McCain likely traitor.
Do you really believe they ever meant it? I don't and never did.
