The only ones wanting to keep open the Russia Election issues are the demorats....and they aren’t finished yet pounding that drum.

But for Trump and Putin they have a slim chance of at least co-operating on what’s possible to do so. Proof is if this cease fire holds in Southern Syria.....it’s a win for both leaders they agreed to this...

I found it very interesting that neither Trump nor Putin wanted to stop their discussions even after it went way past the 30 minute’s intially planned for....then another hour and finally over two hours.

IMO you have two leaders wanting to make deals but at the same time both understand neither Russia nor the US keeps these for very long.....one or the other always breaks them, or other meddling parties make sure things don’t happen .... But for now this is a good start.

Watch out for Turkey to create chaos....Erdogan would love nothing more than Russia and Us to go to war...and to fail any reasonable cease fire.

Love your 2nd paragraph. Let’s hope these 2 leaders can find ways to agree to agree on some things, agree to disagree on other things, and therefore keep the ICBM’s in the silos on both sides.

We are going to have to accept that Russia wants access to their port in Crimea, and don’t want to be ringed with our military bases (same as we don’t want theirs around us). Maybe let’s start thinking about how exceptional our Constitution is, how exceptional our republican form of government is, yet how disastrously unexceptional our interventionist foreign policy has been for a long time.
