Love your 2nd paragraph. Let’s hope these 2 leaders can find ways to agree to agree on some things, agree to disagree on other things, and therefore keep the ICBM’s in the silos on both sides.

We are going to have to accept that Russia wants access to their port in Crimea, and don’t want to be ringed with our military bases (same as we don’t want theirs around us). Maybe let’s start thinking about how exceptional our Constitution is, how exceptional our republican form of government is, yet how disastrously unexceptional our interventionist foreign policy has been for a long time.

Well said, Sec. What you’ve sad is the key to progress with Russia. If we want something, we must give something back in turn. Russia needs a southern port, just as America needs the Panama Canal.
