I’m not so sure that “mouthing off” justifies a brutal, fatal beating by a group of 8 thugs. Serbian or otherwise. Another life wasted. We don’t know every detail about the victim, and regardless of skin color, this is pretty barbaric. It is not safe to go anywhere in Europe or surrounding countries. Maybe exception would be Poland.

You can get killed in a bar fight at home. It was not justified of course but this kind of thing happens all the time all over the world.
certainly - there is nothing that justifies a murder. What I am saying is that some of these liquors found in foreign countries are potent and could cause you to say or do things which offend another of a different culture causing a violent reaction.

I’m certainly not justifying the killing of him, but I would wager that if he ‘teased’ them about Kosovo, which had us bombing CIVILIAN TARGETS in Belgrade (war crimes, by the way), I could understand Serbs not being too thrilled with his words.
But we’ll likely never know what set them off.

I only stated that IF* he had teased them about Kosovo, their reaction would have been understandable, considering the crimes committed by our side.

Ok, I’ll tone it down. I’ve seen enough of your posts to know you’re a good guy here. As it is, I did a bit of researching on the killing - looks like he got into a fight in the bar with one other - they were bounced and took their fight outside...and then the Serb had friends.
I couldn’t figure out what triggered the fight, but you’re right in that this guy doesn’t look like the kind of dude that would have any clue about Kosovo...so likely something else - one area of speculation is that he looked like an African ‘refugee’ which is probably not a very good thing to look like there.
Hopefully we find out what really happened.
