While we are inclined to sympathize with the Vet, we are only getting one side of the story. Unfortunately, this ‘service’ dog thing has gotten a bit out of hand. Way too many people now need one for BS reasons and I see dogs in restaurants, doctor’s offices, etc. If I work in a computer chip clean room, can I bring my service Vietnamese pot-belly pig to work with me? BTW, I am a total dog lover so I have no animus towards canines.

I agree. If you can’t get your work done without a dog sitting next to you, you’re going to have to accept the fact that a lot of jobs and a lot of employers are simply going to be out of the question for you.

I agree.

Additionally, this guy's job is to perform residential installations. Is he to expect homeowners to be required to allow his mutt into their homes?

“this ‘service’ dog thing has gotten a bit out of hand”

I want federal law changed limiting their privileged use only to blind people, and only until 2025.

Technology can drive a car, detect red light settings, etc.

There was an incident involving a woman and a dog on an airplane on the ABC News recently.

It's like handicapped parking spaces. When was the last time you saw someone park in one that used a wheelchair?

They might as well take the wheelchair off the placard and replace it with a morbidly obese woman driving a motorized shopping cart

That was my point. This PTSD dog stuff has become snowflakery for vets. We older vets hate to think that these Millennial vets are a lot like others in their age group, but they are to some extent.

It is made worse by the fact that this is a government diagnosis of a mental disorder. The government never forgets. When these guys outgrow the need to be special and just want to be normal, the government will remember. One day, it will be a disqualifying item on a 4473 for these veterans who took the easy disability money today.

On FOX this morning Cincinnati Bell made a stament that this vet does installs an set ups in customer homes.

Under the circumstances I can understand why they say no dog.

Many people do not want a dog in their house. Some may even have allergies.

Amen! This whole "service dog" issue was bullshit from the start is now completely out of hand. I'm an infantry combat veteran and a dog lover, but the beast stays home when I go to work. I am sick and tired of hearing grown men who walked into combat whine that they can't face a SAFE and NORMAL life without their live teddy bears. Just another group of fakers sucking special benefits and "rights" from the government teat, calling attention to themselves and saying "Look at me! I'm special!" Enough!

I’m a dog lover, too. But in Pennsylvania, all a person has to do is claim their animal is a service animal and they must be allowed to bring their animal wherever they want. It’s abused like crazy, as you can imagine.
