John Rutledge, John Blair (OK, he was a year older than Roberts), Thomas Johnson, Oliver Ellsworth, Alfred Moore, Benjamin Robbins Curtis, John Archibald Campbell, David Davis, William Henry Moody, Hughes, James F. Byrnes, Charles Evans Whittaker, Arthur Goldberg & Abe Fortas.
Better than Warren of course but there were a few bad rulings right? Roe, though he flip flopped later, I didn’t know that, pity it wasn’t the difference. School busing. He sounds a lot better than I thought, I must have had a bad impression of him cause of Roe.
As for the resignations, lets see, Fortas was a scandal, Golberg, appointed UN Ambassador.
Looks like Whittaker (Ike appointee) was the last to just cash out, and while Kennedy was President too, great move. He wasn’t on the court long at all.
