What makes Spanish so special? Nothing. Sure, there may be a lot of speakers of Spanish in this country, but we do not have an “Official” language, yet the language used by government at all levels is in the USA is in English.
Our Declaration of Independence is written in English. It was debated in English.
Our Constitution is written in English. It was debated in English and sent to the several States for ratification in English.
Our laws are debated and written in English.
Our judicial trials and appeals argued in English. Our verdicts are rendered in English. Our decisions are written in English.
If folks want to live here, they can damn well LEARN ENGLISH.
