The vice chair of President Trump's voter fraud commission took aim Wednesday at media reports of a mass boycott of the ongoing probe, dismissing it as "more 'fake news.'"
Kris Kobach, who also serves as secretary of state in Kansas, said "despite media distortions and obstruction by a handful of state politicians," the committee will "continue its work to gather the facts through public records requests."
"While there are news reports that 44 states have "refused" to provide voter information to the Commission, these reports are patently false, more "fake news," he said in a statement. "At present, only 14 states and the District of Columbia have refused the Commission's request for publicly available voter information."

When Trump said “voter fraud occurred in the 2016 election” the media rolled its collective eyes. But when Trump says “ok then, let’s look at the numbers” the liberals all go into collective meltdown.
The problem is that you can’t really do a good analysis with just publicly available information. How do you determine if John Smith born on 1/1/1960 and living in Atlanta, GA is different from a John Smith born on 1/1/1960 and living in Cleveland, OH. It is the non-public information such as the last four of the Social Security number that enhances the analysis.
If certain inner-city precincts consistently deliver 130% more ballots than registered voters and all those votes are for Democrats, it certainly justifies further investigation.
But those analyses has already been done. Why would the commission repeat that work?
