RUSH: This is a fascinating poll result. Its IBD, Investors Business Daily. Headline: People Like The Senate Health Bill More Than They Realize Just 33% of the public say they approve of the Senate plan to repeal and replace Obamacare and 62% oppose it, the latest IBD/TIPP Poll finds. However, many of the specific provisions in the Senate bill get majority support. Unlike other polls, the IBD/TIPP Poll restricted its findings on the Republicans Obamacare replacement plans to the 77% who say theyve been following the health care debate closely.

So this poll is not include people unfamiliar with it. The poll does not include responses from people that dont know whats going on. Only people following the debate. So overall, if you ask people, Do you approve of or disapprove of the Senate health care bill? 33% like it; 62% dont. Then if you go through individual provisions without asking em to thumbs up or thumbs down the Republican health care plan, that issue by issue, a majority of Americans like it.
[W]hen the poll got down to specifics in the bill, the picture changed dramatically. The IBD/TIPP Poll found that many of the Senates changes to Obamacare are also popular with the public. For example, more than half the public (51%) back the GOP plan to get rid of Obamacares individual mandate. Only Democrats want to keep in place (65% say that). Fifty-two percent of independents want it gone, as do 69% of Republicans. The individual mandate is least popular in the South and among those under 25
I cant think of another poll that has even asked what people think about getting rid of the mandate, so this is valuable. Fifty-four percent say they want to keep the employer mandate in the July poll, when IBD/TIPP asked this question in April, 53% supported the GOP plan to get rid of it. So I think its kind of fascinating. If you just ask Senate Republican health bill, people by 33% like it; 65% say, No. No way. But go through it individually, and some of it has 51, 52% majority support.
More Rush Limbaugh blog Click-Bait.
Kaslin does excellent work in posting Rush transcripts. K normally posts entire segments from the show and not excerpted.
Click bait it is not.
I don’t get a chance to listen to Rush days I’m not out in the shop working, so I appreciate these posts and transcripts. Thanx, Kaslin.
I try hard to stay current, but I have not seen this particular poll yet and if I saw the headline, I might not get the “only ask those following the issue closely” part.
If there’s anyone who does need artificially generated clicks, it’s Rush. Like Trump, he could quit tomorrow, enjoy the rest of his life, write books, generate side businesses or just play golf.
Click bait it is not.
It is Rush's blog that is being re-posted. Piece-by-piece, his blog is being posted in "breaking news." This is not "breaking news." She posts it with a live link which invites "clicks."
Hence, Click-Bait.
Why is it not posted over in the "Bloggers and Personal forum?
Rush discusses the news from a conservative, anti-Leftist POV. In doing so, he often becomes the news. Rush uses FR as show prep, BTW. I’m fine with Rush and with Kaslin.
There is a very small, nearly infinitesimal group of FReepers who are obsessed with what they term blog-pimping. IMO, they all need to get a life. Alternatively: start a blog and post it daily, in toto, to FR.
“It is Rush’s blog that is being re-posted. Piece-by-piece, his blog is being posted in “breaking news.” “
You’re wrong. It doesn’t appear in the Breaking News sidebar. Her posts are so complete there is no need for you to click on any of the links.
And they are not from a blog. They are direct and timely transcripts from Limbaugh’s radio show. Rush has been the most influential conservative in my lifetime. I very much appreciate reading the best parts from his show rather than having to listen to him for 3 hours a day.
Sorry, but I have to conclude you’re an idiot or a troll...maybe both.
Exactly what do you think this forum is about? rush is a legitimate source. If you want to play hall monitor I suggest you go to a site where people can’t think for themselves
Youre wrong. It doesnt appear in the Breaking News sidebar.
She is posting his blog in News/Activism. Take a look at the "sidebar" you referred to. It says Breaking News(News Activism). It is this forum. Read much?
Her posts are so complete there is no need for you to click on any of the links
Then why is she providing a live link? And why then does she continue to post the rest of his blog?
And they are not from a blog.
Really? Rush posts his transcripts as a blog - complete with advertisements. Why don't you go over there and increase his clicks?
I very much appreciate reading the best parts from his show rather than having to listen to him for 3 hours a day.
Well why not go directly to his blog every day? Or read this under Bloggers and Personal where it belongs so people aren't fooled. It is certainly not,"Breaking News."
Next time get a clue or buy a vowel before you make a fool of yourself.
“She is posting his blog in News/Activism. Take a look at the “sidebar” you referred to. It says Breaking News(News Activism). It is this forum. Read much?”
Her Rush posts never appear in my sidebars. Must be our settings are different Goober.
Providing links to the source of one’s post is pretty much SOP here . When one doesn’t, if such links are available, one is subject to criticism.
I like getting the best of Rush here without having to hit his website. Some will excerpt Rush’s transcripts, but Kaslin never does.
I can’t believe the irrational unreasonable criticisms about Kaslin’s posts.
Haters like GOP Health Care Plan: fixed...
They are Click-Bait. Nothing more, nothing less.
1) The name
2) Paying for it
The rest, they love and will remove any politician who takes any of it away.
The problem is that the public also loves the promises made about Trumpcare - lower premiums, more choices, pre-existing conditions covered, better service - and will be more that a little miffed when it can’t deliver on any of those.
