Most Europeans and Asians have 2-4% of genes that are strictly from Neanderthals. Sub Saharan Africans have 0%.

Are those genes from Neanderthals or conserved from a common ancestor?

"Most Europeans and Asians have 2-4% of genes that are strictly from Neanderthals. Sub Saharan Africans have 0%." Most Pacific Islanders and Australians have 2-3% Denisovian but few others do.
Tibetans got their 'high-altitude' gene from the Denisovans. No-one can figure out why the Denisovans even needed that gene.

Sub Saharan Africans have 0%. Well, no.
They have looked a little deeper and found that they have Neanderthal DNA as well. Probably taken there in the migrations back into Africa.
