I think you’re succumbing to the media culture here. . .those behaviors that you indicate represent “black” America actually represent how the media, both news and entertainment, present “black” America. I have lived in worked in about 7-8 different major metropolitan areas usually in highly integrated communities and businesses. I don’t know any black people who behave that way. The few who do get all of the media attention, and the vast majority of black men, women and children who are witty, bright and capable are ignored or hidden. More fake news. Don’t buy it.
Only then will the IQ obsessives finally be happy. And we must have that, mustn't we?

Who is dwelling or obsessing on the difference? It is cut and dried both empirically and quantitatively.
If blacks and liberals would relax about reality and allow statistical truth to be expressed this issue wouldn't matter. Ashkenazi Jews have higher average IQ's - Asians in the US make more money (on average) than whites. Some 'differences' make one group stronger in areas - and some differences make a group weaker. It's not the end of the world. Statistics don't tell us anything about ONE white person or ONE black person or ONE Asian. Each of those 'people' can be smarter or dumber or richer or poorer than the others... Most of us will never know someone as smart as Thomas Sowell - who happens to be black etc...
The problem comes when liberals want to force us to accept lies so they and their pet victim groups can have the 'lie advantage'. And that and it's backlashes are the danger...

Another thing, I recall hearing that the Nobel award people accepted a study showing blacks with lower IQ.

There is a huge amount of pressure to get certain groups through med school.
While I agree that’s the case with the blacks I personally know as well, the fact remains that there is a much larger world out there than that subset of the blacks I happen to know. And the crime statistics by race are what they are, it isn’t pretty, and no one is willing to have an honest discussion about it because someone gets called a racist almost immediately.
Nature rewards persistence, not brilliance. Success depends more on dogged consistency than the occasional flash of mental light. We are told Hillary is the smartest woman in all history, yet see what a failure she is, what a loser, what a failure. She couldn’t win an election that was stolen for her.

Heck, the modern “crime scene” reconstructions of their skulls look a lot like my great uncle. He was a rather stocky fellow, but pretty smart.
As for Murray’s books, I suggest you read them (I have used copy I can mail you if you want). Most of what he wrote wasn’t about race, it was about IQ. That focusing on only high IQ is putting some major distortion on the culture, and not serving us that well. There was one chapter that talked about ethnic IQ, and that is it. His book “Coming apart” focused ONLY on two fictional white Irish neighborhoods in Boston, and the IQ based segregation that happens. The latter was a much better book because it dealt only with IQ.
His point is that when you start vacuuming up all the high IQ kids, and isolating them into a separate society, you end up with a poor base society and a high IQ “elite” that are so insulated they have no idea what really goes on in the world. The two societies drift apart till you have a spiral of decay. The “elite” who have the power start making choices for the rest, who find themselves with fewer and fewer resources to work with. Then you end up with the desperation many small towns face were there is little opportunity at home, and turning to opiods and welfare become the best option.

The reason median IQ matters is that disparities in income and educational attainment are systematically attributed to white racism. This has to stop.
Every individual should the same freedoms and opportunities as every other.
Exactly what I was thinking. With an IQ of 89 you won’t be able to be a neurosurgeon, but you could diagnose the flu and such.
I'm sorry, but that's a naive assumption (and declaration too for that matter). Ever since the first proto-humans began organizing as tribal units, higher IQ individuals have used their greater intelligence to their advantage.
The result is/was the aristocracy. To assert that they have the elite have no idea is ludicrous on its face. The rulers who control media/finance/govt understand the human condition perfectly well. Anyone can observe they use this network to accrue greater wealth, power and (beautiful) mating partners.
That being said, the entire subject of IQ is bit of a moot point. Human knowledge is accelerating at such a rapid rate, that the ability to alter/modify/replicate/re-generate genetic structures, including the cognitive section of the brain, could be quite trivial within a generation.
When that occurs, the entire false narrative of racism, etc will be thrown off as everyone lines up for 'polio vaccinations' ie genetic improvements conducted on a mass scale.

The people there are very high IQ, very influential, and have very little idea how reality works outside the beltway.
Let’s just say I have spent some time there, and they don’t know what goes on outside of their little enclaves.
